Trilogy Health Services headquartered in Louisville, KY with over 100 health campus locations throughout the Midwest is looking to appoint a talented and experienced Vice President of Culinary & Dining Services to partner with senior leadership and lead and oversee our Dining Services team. This unique position provides leadership, creativity and guidance to integrate improved (senior) resident service and a superb culinary experience. The VP of Culinary & Dining Services embraces the Trilogy culture and has strong interpersonal/people skills.

Specifically, the key responsibilities for the VP of Culinary & Dining Services include the following:

  • Insuring Trilogy's dining standards relative to dining room presentation and food and beverage design to elevate health campus ambiance, quality and improved resident experience

  • Leading and evaluating the dining services department, goals and strategies

  • Creating and implementing regional menus and maintaining files of tested standard recipes

  • Planning and providing dining events within the health campus

  • Financial planning and controls

  • Developing and building relationships with culinary team

  • Frequent travel is required

Salary and equity compensation commensurate with experience

Relocation available



  • Four (4) year degree in food service management or in hospitality or food service or restaurant management from an accredited institution of higher learning.

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts from an accredited Culinary School required,


  • Certified Dietary Manager Certified or,

  • Certified Food Service Manager or,

  • Similar national certification for food service management and safety from a national certifying body.

  • In states that have established standards for food service, meets State requirements for food service manager or dietary managers.

  • Serve Safe Certified.


  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years' hospitality, dining and culinary experience. Healthcare, hospital, residential or senior living industry or long-term care environment preferred.

  • Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.

We are currently accepting applications for the follow position: Culinary Manager The Culinary Manager is responsible for the overall management of the food service department to ensure the department is provides nourishing, attractive, well-balanced meals which meets the daily nutritional needs of each resident, consistent with laws and regulations and accepted nutritional standards while allocating department resources in an efficient and economic manner. ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS: * Supervises food service servers and cooks, including preparing schedule of hours worked and ensuring job specific orientation has occurred with each new employee. Hires, trains, promotes, disciplines, and/or terminates within company guidelines. Tracks employee attendance and reports monthly to Office Manager. Conducts annual performance evaluations for employees. * Supervises food preparation using techniques that conserve nutritional value, flavor, and appearance. * Ensures quality food preparation and service that is served to residents within scheduled timeframes. * Orders food economically and efficiently from approved vendors. Maintains sufficient inventory of supplies. Tracks inventory regularly and secures storage areas. * Monitors department budgeted amounts of food costs, supplies, labor hours and wages, and ensures community does not spend over budgeted amount. * Assists in development of new menus, recipes, production guides and order guides. * Stores, prepares, and serves all food under sanitary conditions to prevent the transmission of food borne illness. * Communicates with residents to ensure customer satisfaction. Visits new residents to orient them to food services offered, and reviews food service section of resident handbook. * Disposes of trash and waste, including bio hazardous waste and other material that requires special handling in compliance with state and federal requirements. All garbage or waste must be properly contained in dumpsters or compactors with lids or otherwise covered. * Monitors workplace for safety and fire hazards. Corrects or reports problems to supervisor. Reports maintenance and equipment problems promptly to Maintenance Supervisor. * Maintains workplace in an orderly clean manner. Stores supplies and equipment in proper place when not in use. * Oversees sanitation for department and maintains sanitary conditions as required by the State Department of Health and goals set by company. Prepares and monitors weekly cleaning schedule and ensures all goals are consistently met. * Inspects community for any signs of rodents or pests daily and informs maintenance if needed. * Completes and maintains all food service records and forms, including administrative statistics on food costs, menus, and repairs per company procedures. * Monitors staff for compliance with OSHA mandates on workplace safety. * Organizes special functions and monthly themed meals. Assist other communities with special events. * Attends in-service education programs and staff meetings as assigned and applies information to job tasks. * Collaborates with Food Service Director regularly to request information and suggestions to improve quality of Food Services. * Performs duties of Cook or Server in his or her absence, if position cannot be replaced. * Conducts monthly in-service training for all Food Service staff. * Tracks employee training and orientation hours, reporting monthly to Culinary Director.
