Century Communities, Inc (CCS, NYSE) is a Top-10 New Home Builder with an expanding presence in Texas. We are excited to add a Vice President of Construction to our Austin team!

The Vice President of Construction is responsible for managing and leading the construction team through the entire construction process, from inception to final completion of homes. A major role of the Vice President of Construction will be to focus on providing on-time delivery of a high-quality home while balancing the financial objectives and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position will play a vital role in the direction and management of the construction process and overall field management. The Vice President of Construction will be responsible for all warranty functions including cycle time, budgets and vendor accountability.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with Executive Management to determine company needs and to define a strategic plan for growth.

  • Oversee the Project Management team for scheduling projects, achieving budgets, and meeting deadlines, ensuring site safety and construction best practices plan (aka SWPPP compliance).

  • Monitors projects to address delays, bad weather, and emergencies.

  • Establish and enforce project management discipline, policies, processes and tools that enable world-class execution.

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining actual project performance data to facilitate historical analyses to improve estimating accuracy and field construction performance.

  • Manage, hire and train all Construction Personnel including Area Managers, Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, customer care personnel and administrators.

  • Ensure accuracy of construction status reporting.

  • Provide evaluation of sub-contractor performance.

  • Responsible for quality control, quality assurance, EPA and OSHA compliance.

  • Responsible for the appearance of all communities, models and spec homes.

  • Oversee Customer Care Department - Establish and monitor customer care policies, processes and procedures to ensure complete homebuyer satisfaction; resolve any outstanding customer complaints, and seek ways to improve customer survey results and the complete customer experience.

  • Review all work in process to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, building codes and Company standards.

  • Review and recommend improvements to both existing and proposed plans; Responsible for ensuring that all needed red-lining of plans is complete.

  • Field responsibility for controlling costs, achieving budgeted margins and improving the bottom line.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field OR 10+ years of experience in a production homebuilding environment.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 7+ years in residential construction.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience at the Director level or above

  • Previous experience managing 10 plus jobs simultaneously in a fast-paced and changing environment.

  • Must have extensive experience in Build Pro.

Our Opportunity: The Vice President of International Compliance will lead a team of international compliance professionals who are responsible for leading and enhancing the international compliance programs required for the Firm's domestic cross border business and the subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Hong Kong, Australia and Singapore. Each country has its own regulatory regime, requirements and expectations and International Compliance team is required to have compliance programs that are tailored to the local country's requirements, business activities in which the subsidiary is engaged in, and consistent with our approach to managing compliance risk enterprise-wide. What you'll do: This Vice President of International Compliance will need to navigate the differing regulatory requirements to enhance and maintain effective compliance programs for the subsidiaries based outside the U.S. while also considering and addressing when U.S. requirements and expectations apply. This includes advising the business on applicable regulatory requirements and the development of policies, procedures and supervisory programs necessary to comply with regulatory requirements; while executing and continually enhancing the compliance risk assessment, testing and surveillance programs. In addition, the Vice President of International Compliance will: * Be responsible for International Business Services Compliance including all of the regulated entities outside the US, US cross border business into other countries and coordinating the compliance efforts across our institutional, advisory services and stock plan services businesses and disciplines (e.g. AML and OFAC). * Manage and supervise the local Compliance officers in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia. As a result, the position needs to possess the knowledge and experience to effectively manage the team of compliance personnel located in these four local jurisdictions consistent with Corporate Compliance standards. * Ensure that AML and Sanctions are handled properly, in conjunction with personnel in Financial Crimes Risk Management. Additionally, this person will work closely with the Corporate Compliance Privacy Program and must possess a solid understanding of GDPR to ensure that privacy/information security issues are handled properly. * Possess the ability to address complex issues while considering potential cultural differences when dealing with compliance staff, business colleagues and local regulators. * Work with the business on major initiatives. These projects include but are not limited to, establishing a new introducing broker dealer in Dublin, the enhancement of the international risk governance structure and board composition by providing compliance guidance and effectively challenging the team to ensure that these initiatives are completed in a manner that is consistent with local requirements while meeting Corporate Risk Management standards set forth by the Firm. * Have membership in various risk governance and business committees and as such the leader is responsible for building and maintaining strong working relationships with the various international regulators, senior management throughout the Compliance Department, senior management of International Services and the Legal Department. Ideal Profile: * Minimum 15 years' of related work experience in compliance, privacy and risk management and anti-money laundering; minimum 10 years in a leadership capacity. * Demonstrated success in transforming organizations in a highly collaborative environment to influence compliance and controls while building strong internal and external partnerships, and providing coaching and guidance to varied stakeholders. * Deep competencies in international securities laws and regulations financial services, anti-money laundering and privacy. * Thrives on initiating, building and cultivating strong authentic relationships inside and outside the group; highly collaborative; navigates and activates alignment across organizational silos.
