Hitachi Consulting is the Consulting, IT and Solutions services business of Hitachi Ltd. Location: prefer Dallas, Chicago, Denver but open to major cities in the US

Vice President of Alliances reports into Hitachi Consulting's Global Alliances and Channels group and is responsible for Hitachi's overall alliance relationship with "X", complementing both field-level interactions as well as corporate-to-corporate initiatives.

The VP, Strategic Partnerships is ultimately responsible for all aspects of partner relations from the recruitment of new partners to the establishment of partner programs and maintenance of ongoing relationships, all working towards increasing revenue.

The role will be responsible for managing Hitachi Consulting's existing partner eco-system, executing go-to-market strategies, developing a pipeline of new partnership opportunities and negotiating deals in support of the company's growing business. Knowledge of relevant industry verticals, relationships with key industry players, and a proven ability to close deals and a deep experience with fostering relationships will be vital for success.

Responsibilities include promotion and expansion of Hitachi's portfolio of strategic initiatives, establishing and maintaining a co-sell and resell strategy, influence on investments in co-development, identifying opportunities for "X" funded or co-funded marketing, and contributing to channel effectiveness in the Americas, EMEA and APAC.


Basic Purpose, Essential Duties and

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as first line leader of the Global Alliance & Channels "X" ecosystem

  • Collaborate with Hitachi Consulting Global and Regional leadership to develop and set the firm's partnering strategy.

  • Works with HCC Sales and Delivery Leadership, determines portfolio, GTM and associated OKR's working across organizations to synthesize execution and engagement plans; supports case for investment and budget.

  • Cooperate with other Hitachi companies to execute a "One Hitachi" approach to working with common partners

  • Cultivate field-level partnerships with other Hitachi companies, including Hitachi Vantara and others

  • Enable solution co-development, co-marketing, joint pipeline generation, and co-selling activities with partners

  • Tracks cross company results and partner program participation results

  • Supports the executive (RACI) for key decisions that have cross company impact (e.g. M&A activity, AR/PR, Major Wins)

  • Engages Partner Leadership and with HCC sales leadership to educate on

  • Manage team of 4 Alliance Managers/Directors

Essential Education, Skills, and Environment:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales or marketing; advanced degree in business, information technology or marketing desirable

  • 15 years in technology alliances, sales and/or marketing with strong track record of KPI achievement

  • Senior-level network in the ISV and technology solution provider industry

  • Experience leading/managing a team

Specialized Knowledge or

Skills:
  • Knowledge of and experience with Hitachi and/or Hitachi Consulting ideal

  • Experience working at or with existing Hitachi Consulting partners ideal

  • In-depth knowledge of partnering and sales principles and practices

  • Dexterity in navigating diverse internal teams, including solution, delivery, sales, and marketing

  • Excellent time management, communication, decision-making, presentation and organizational skills

Travel:

  • Regular national travel throughout the year to meet client needs and timetables (30-50%) Occasional international travel as required
