The Position

The Opportunity:

Responsible for planning and directing all aspects of a major Business Area in the United States. Manage and drive sales organization to meet profitable revenue growth targets while ensuring we adhere to all Good Promotional Practices, AdvaMed guidelines and the RD quality policy.

Provides sales vision, strategic direction, and establishes short-term and long-term objectives aligned with the overall vision. Oversees all sales people development planning, ensures proper infrastructure and people are in place to ensure success, and creates/sustains a high performing organization. Works in close partnership with the Marketing organization to ensure alignment with strategies to achieve targets and to develop course corrections, as appropriate. Develop and drive a work culture committed to compliance, quality and customer focus.

Provides senior level direction or guidance for a significant organization or part of the business; responsible for multiple functions, departments, and/or geographic marketplaces. Sets strategic vision and direction; develops and implements strategic plans and objectives for the organization in alignment with corporate strategy.

Typically has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and approving changes to methods and practices for assigned business area. Decisions impact entire Division. Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

Job Facts:

Develop, manage, and motivate the sales organization. Develop and execute a national sales strategy to achieve revenue & profit goals & market share growth.

Work closely with internal & external customers in order to identify new/future sales opportunities & build networks. Work closely with Marketing to develop strategy and provide input for the development and launch of products.

Develop and execute solutions that drive differentiation in the marketplace. Continuously examine and streamline our sales and contractual processes to protect/enhance the selling time of our field teams and ensure we are best positioned to take advantage of market opportunities.

Manage budget in line with sales development. Strategically adjust spending/expenses as sales deviate from plan.

Develop and sustain key customer relationships; facilitate open communication between all key RD internal partners and our external partners and customers. Participate actively in company wide projects or process improvement activities to substantially better the Sales organization.

Maintain a high performing sales culture by continuous disciplined performance management. Ensures the effectiveness of people through the effective and efficient implementation of people strategies and processes, the optimization of organizational structure of the Sales organization, and maintaining an adequately and competently staffed organization to successfully deliver on goals and objectives. Recruit, engage, and develop people as well as lead a culture focused on being a high performance organization.

Participate in/influence industry-related forums. Generate awareness to internal business partners of trends in the industry that may impact sales and product performance.

Ensure the RD Quality Policy is understood, implemented, and maintained in the organization. Establishes and maintains an adequate organizational structure, provides adequate resources, and establishes appropriate management controls to ensure the sales group is suitable and effective to satisfy regulatory requirements and the company's quality policy.

Ensures a work culture committed to compliance, quality, and customer focus. Ensure 100% compliance with Good promotional practices, AdvaMed guidelines and the RD quality policy.

Who You Are:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or equivalent with 10+ years of related experience

5+ years in a senior management role in a progressive Sales environment in a large organization

At least 7 years experience in strategic planning, development, and effective implementation

5+ years in a Sales Management or Project Implementation in Sales or Marketing environment

Related work experience/education

Ability to effectively lead and manage in a highly competitive global environment

Knowledge and experience in strategic planning, business planning, finance, and operations management.

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire assigned business units

Visionary with the ability to think in a positive and creative manner

Highly effective communication, administrative and management skills

Exceptional knowledge of applicable local, state and national regulatory agency guidelines, including FDA

Requires ability to champion quality improvement initiatives.

Preferred:

MBA

10 years experience in strategic planning, development, and effective implementation

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana Base Pay Range $253,840 - $333,165 Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications and other job-related factors permitted by law.

A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance, as well as participation in a long-term incentive program. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
