Vice President Multimedia Sales
As an effective communicator, the VP of Sales provides strategic, consultative direction to multimedia sales and UCI clients in various UCI properties. Comprehensively develop and execute the company's short and long term sales strategy to deliver market results in accordance with Univision's multimedia revenue goals. The role will manage a team of AEs in larger multiplatform sales strategy.
This individual must be able to navigate and develop internal, cross-departmental relationships with Content, Event Marketing, Business Development, Pricing and Planning, Finance, and other leaders. This person will also work very closely with the Partner Solutions team, as well as Univision's multimedia sales team to deliver best-in-class marketing solutions to advertisers.
Internal client prospecting and partnership development
Responsible for the collective sales target for account executives on the team
Represent UCI Portfolio in relationships and deals
Get involved in negotiation internally and externally as necessary
Manage the performance of direct reports in the sales team, as well as develop the competencies of direct reports
Prioritize business needs for the AE team and advise AEs in negotiation of deals
Execute sales strategy across UCI platforms to maximize revenue
Make Deal decisions on assigned brands that align with the business needs
Work with account executives, marketing, and pricing & planning teams to develop integrated packages and programs for RFPs and proactive client pitches
Best in class external communications (client/agency)
Determine client solutions by matching client needs and key UCI properties and strategic initiatives
Negotiating and working with sales managers, account executives, as well as clients and agency contacts
Ensures seamless execution with content teams, as well as events and league partners, ensuring successful implementations for all buys and renewals of all business
Ongoing account management for existing clients, to ensure continued agency /customer satisfaction
Evaluate, plan and present any/all new opportunities to help determine viability for business/revenue potential
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred. Extensive, directly related experience may be considered in lieu of degree
10 + years sales/sale management experience required
Established network of contacts and relationships within the ad sales business community and the Chicago community
Fluency in both English and Spanish desired, but not required
Prior management/team leadership experience
Experience selling cross-platform media
Property sales experience with intellectual property, and event /experiential concepts
Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Must have excellent attention to detail and organization skills given the many moving parts
Energetic self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent executive-level presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as influencing skills
Strong problem solving, analytical capabilities and collaboration skills
Must be willing to work from offices in Chicago, IL
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Must be willing to travel
