Create and maintain data driven analytics and financial models used to advise clients in achieving their financing needs. Work with sector coverage, derivatives coverage and syndication teams for high yield bond, leverage loan, and investment grade bond issuances to provide differentiated analysis to clients and help source new clients.

Develop and maintain critical business reporting solutions for the desks' and division's senior management. Develop and back test hedging strategies. Present complex hedging analysis to clients.

Develop and maintain valuation and risk models. Work extensively with the desks, cross divisional risk departments, and cross divisional IT departments. Lead technology advancements by developing libraries, implementing encryption, performing code review, identifying and remediating system risk, and educating peers and desks on new technology solutions to integrate into their workflows for efficiency improvements.

Communicate and manage strategic projects for senior bankers and cross-regional and cross-divisional leadership. Liaise between business and internal technology to deliver innovative solutions for capital markets.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $275,000 and $275,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Master's degree in Operations Research, Finance, Statistics, or a related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as an Associate, or a closely related occupation. Requires three (3) years of experience with: assessing business opportunities and problems, proposing strategic solutions, and pitching proposals to senior leadership; project management; capital markets business and fixed income products; communicating with senior leadership and management; Q/KDB, Python, and Unix scripting; working with large datasets and unstructured data; full stack development in Javascript, and React; software development life cycle process; agile framework; code review; code deployment; managing application servers; interacting with senior management regarding bank balance sheet risk; updating risk measures near real-time; design, implement, and maintain risk reporting for senior management; interacting with the business unit on return on equity model; working with business units to deliver time sensitive projects; delivering technology and data solutions for capital markets; and delegating infrastructure tasks to reliability and production engineering teams.
