Design Within Reach is looking for a VP, Marketing. You will manage and lead the marketing, creative and e-commerce teams to create profitable, brand-building customer experiences. You will manage marketing initiatives, analyze results and work to increase sales and market share through your leadership of PR, digital, creative, brand engagement, advertising, direct response, and all other aspects of marketing. You will report to the President of Design Within Reach, and matrix report to the Chief Marketing Officer of Herman Miller Group

Provide strategic vision and market positioning for core Herman Miller Consumer brands: Herman Miller, Design Within Reach, HAY and DWR Contract
Implement marketing programs that leverage the strengths of the brands across retail, wholesale and contract channels
Create impactful programs across public/media relations and events to build brand awareness and create customer evangelists
Develop profitable and effective digital and print direct response programs that consistently achieve cost per acquisition targets as the business scales
Lead innovation efforts across e-commerce and multi-channel retail experiences providing best-in-class digital experiences
Design retail experiences that provide clients with inspiring and engaging environments and celebrate the brand positioning
Effectively manage the marketing and e-commerce budget, maximizing the return on investment across short and long term objectives
Provide insights and analysis of customer behavior, merchandising performance and market trends that lead to a sustainable competitive advantage
Collaborate with senior leadership to define and achieving quarterly, annual and long-range business goals

This might be you if you have the following skills and abilities...
10+ years of related marketing experience in a multi-channel retail environment
B.S. in marketing or related field
Strong project management expertise
Analytical skills with the ability to proactively identify trends and make decisions accordingly
Excellent interpersonal (both verbal and written) skills and comfortable presenting across all levels within the organization
Demonstrated ability to hire, train, and develop a high performing marketing team
Ability to present at the executive level and serve as a spokesperson
Strong understanding of marketing analytics
Experience creating and managing a department budget
Ability to travel as needed
