What you'll do:
Responsible for the support of partnership development activities for IRF, BH, ARU, BHU and acute care and other Lifepoint activities. This includes support of the development process from letter of intent thru stabilization of operations. The role includes:
Developing and maintaining relationships with key partners
Collaborating with internal leadership, joint venture partners and third parties
Collaborating with internal senior business leader throughout the development process, including corporate development, finance, accounting, real estate, legal, operations, compliance, licensure and other internal and external consultants
Establish plan to communicate status of development portfolio, preparing meeting materials, attending meetings and supporting JV partnership meetings
Leading and directing the development of the Certificate of Need (CON) process required for the renovation, relocation, expansion or development of new and existing distinct part units and their related services for all divisions of the Company as well as provide support for New IRF/BH CON development. Provide strategic direction, goals and execution of goals for LP Business Development and LPR/LPB Operations for CON planning purposes, and Support the achievement of assigned sales goals for Joint Venture IRF/BH hospital openings, IRF/BH unit openings, revenue and margin for their assigned Business Development Officer.
Support and provide operational guidance regarding Medicare Certification and all State licensure regulatory processes (including Space Planning) for Development/Operations/Implementation teams for all new IRF/BH units and new IRF/BH hospitals as well as expansion of existing IRF/BH units and IRF/BH hospitals.
Support strategic and other special projects related to the company's inpatient rehabilitation and behavioral health joint venture portfolio
This responsibility will be accomplished by establishing remote and direct professional working relationships with healthcare executives, consultants, architects, and attorneys through developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the prospect within the healthcare/inpatient rehabilitation industry. This position will exercise significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
Manage the development of freestanding and distinct part unit CON applications and their related projects.
Support sales process achievement measures and signed contracts.
Support LP Corporate Development team to create, develop, maintain, and enhance planning cycle for Sales. Direct working relationship with Sales Leadership, Sales OPS Support, Finance, Legal, Communications/ Branding, Analytics, Regulatory (State Licensure & CON, Federal IPPS Exemptions), Space planning, Enterprise Development tools.
Oversees the regulatory application process for lines of business in New Business Development projects and expansion of service relationships.
Provides LPR/LPB division sales staff with necessary tools on business planning including unit space planning, State licensure & CON and Federal IPPS exemption regulatory information.
Serves as a consultant to other departments and field management on business planning and State licensure & CON and Federal IPPS exemption regulatory information.
Provides staff development, retention and training.
