We're seeking a future team member in the role of Specialist, Production Services Application Support to join our IMT US Production Services team. This role is located in Pittsburgh PA/Lake Mary Florida.

IMT US Production Services is dedicated to ensuring that our technology environments are best in class. Our Production Services teams runs the systems that keep BNY Mellon running. Our mission is to deliver a full IT service management lifecycle across all run-the-bank applications and infrastructure support with the purpose of providing a controlled, secure, and predictable production environment.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: `

  • Site reliability engineering (SRE) - Responsible for the smooth operation of the applications.

  • Responsible for a combination of the following within a broader engineering organization: System availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning.

  • Performs complex troubleshooting as a subject matter expert in one or more applications.

  • Works to ensure appropriate monitoring and alerting setup.

  • Works on root cause analysis and problem management to address underlying technical issues.

  • Find opportunities to automate in reducing manual task, repetitive failures and Process/Jobs optimization.

  • Collaborates with business and application development stakeholders.

  • Monitors changes to applications and their operating environment.

  • Analyzes any complex issues.

  • Recommends technical solutions on application problems.

  • Reviews and develops updates of contingency documentation and processes.

  • Reviews and analyzes product migrations through all systems environments.

  • May review and execute Change Management scripts.

  • Contributes to incident resolution for high priority incidents.

  • May mentor or provide guidance for junior team members.

  • Contributes to the achievement of related teams' objectives.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree is beneficial.6-8 years of diverse experience in information technology required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

  • 7-10 years of diverse experience in information technology required.

  • +3 years' experience developing in any programming language

  • +3 Production support experience

  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
