  Located in our Deerfield, IL facility and reporting the CIO, the Vice President of IT has responsibility for areas such as strategy and planning as well as leading members of the IT team.
  Strategy and Planning

• Align IT objectives and programs with the organization's overall vision, strategies, and objectives.

• Ensure that IT projects are prioritized and resourced based on a set of criteria agreed across the executive team.

• Develop, in collaboration with other senior leaders, forward-looking models and initiatives that provide insight and improvements into the organization's operations and efficiency.

• Collaborate with the CIO and Senior leadership on the development and delivery of the company's IT strategies and practices to ensure information-/cyber-security protections and response effectiveness.

• Interact with senior management team to monitor and validate the organization's compliance with the policies and practices.

• Develop staff for professional growth & succession.

• Effectively engage external resources when required.
  IT Leadership

• Plan and manage strategic IT initiatives & IT projects.

• Set consistent and clear expectations of IT team members. Develop IT talent by offering varied assignments/experiences and targeted/frequent performance feedback. Lead recruiting when required.

• Ensure a robust and responsive information security program based on industry best practices and in collaboration with the company's executive leadership.

• Develop innovative IT solutions that enable business process re-engineering. Ensure proper business change management practices are employed.

• Ensure a responsive Help/Service Desk to maintain/improve end-user productivity.

• Manage the IT applications portfolio; develop roadmaps where existing applications are no longer suitable nor effective in enabling expected business outcomes.

• Optimize the mix, based on cost and effectiveness, of in-house vs. outsourced vs. cloud-based services.

• Establish strategic service provider partnerships. Acquire software and hardware & related services.

• Define standards and architecture.

• Consolidate IT processes across the organization where appropriate.

• Develop and lead policy development as it relates to information management and technology-driven innovations.

• Represent the organization from a technology perspective to partners and technology trade groups; play a vocal and visible role.

• Remain up to date on applicable and appropriate technological innovation.

• Can create a clear strategic vision for information technology that supports business objectives and can execute on that vision.

• Able to work collaboratively with diverse leaders, communicate an IT vision and strategy across all levels of the organization, and build consensus around key initiatives and projects.

• Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written; able to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Demonstrated ability to motivate a high performing IT team that values transparency and accountability.

• Demonstrated ability to design and implement comprehensive approaches to enterprise solutions, cyber security and innovation.

• Experience designing and managing an effective IT governance framework across the spectrum of IT service delivery.
  Professional Experience and Education

• 15 years of career experience in technology, including a minimum of 10 years in a leadership position.

• Other significant professional business leadership experiences will be considered.

• Experience in delivering an enterprise resource planning solution is required.

• In depth understanding of IT best practice leadership is required

• A bachelor's degree is preferred in the Information Technology field. Master's degree in business administration or related field a plus.
