The Credit Solutions group manageslending/credit for a wide range of credit relationships. Leads the due diligence process and dealstructuring process. Partners with the
Relationship Management Team for the delivery and negotiation of creditsolutions. Owns the underwriting, approvaland closing process.
Responsible forproactive portfolio management, including maintaining credit quality andprofitability targets. Remains abreastof market, sector and competitive trends. Engages and builds relationships with key client stakeholders to remainwell-informed, and able to respond to changing circumstances whileappropriately balancing client and SVB needs. Develops and delivers insights and points of view on loan types andcredit/performance trends in sectors/sub-sectors.

Provides training to less experienced staff andsupports MD/Director in team leadership, including ensuring that resourceallocation to their portfolio and to the pipeline is appropriate. Develops insights into loan types and sectorsand demonstrates thought leadership.
Leads due diligence, structuring, underwriting and documentation processes independently for complex deals. Able to manage large and complex portfolio with limited oversight.
Highly skilled at developing term sheets and deal structures independently and provides expert guidance in the negotiation process with the client. Coaches and mentors less experienced staff members enabling them to show improved efficiency and effectiveness. Independently lead deal modifications as appropriate.
Provides insights/thought leadership on deal types as well as guidance on deal structuring, underwriting and documentation negotiations. Able to effectively manage resources to optimize process and outcomes.
Lead the structuring, underwriting and closingof credit solutions for their assigned prospects / portfolio / sector. Responsible for the process end to endincluding engaging with Relationship Management, clients/prospects, CreditAdmin, Legal partners and other internal / external stakeholders to ensuresuccessful outcomes. Manages resourceseffectively and responsible for doing this at scale/volume.
Manage assigned portfolio of borrowingrelationships, reviewing information, evaluating risk, and engaging withclients, building relationships with appropriate stakeholders. Communicate internally to recommend andexecute on responses to changing situations for clients / across the portfoliobroadly. Ensures that portfolio management practices meet SVB standards.
Support the MD/Director as a leader in teamdevelopment, including collaboration and coaching of Associates who support theteam. (could include acting as manager)
Driving subject matter expertise within the teamincluding market, sector and competitive trends, business models, lendingmodels and making the group more scalable through optimizing how we conductbusiness and manage the portfolio.
6 years ofrelated experience. Advanced knowledge of portfolio management practicesincluding expertise in evaluating risk and managing changing situations. Strong structuring and negotiation skills,closing skills and ability to engage and build trust with clientsindependently. Bachelor's degree orequivalent related experience.
Experience with FinTech clients a plus.
