Job Overview:

Part of our Business Strategy & Growth organization, the Investor Focused Solutions (IFS) team plays a central role in serving end-investors directly through a team-based, virtual call center model. This product manager role will serve as a critical leader to enhance the platform modernization efforts for advisors and operations specialists to improve efficiency and business effectiveness. In this role, you will be the bridge between vision and execution, defining the roadmap, and a thought leader based on user research and business needs. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, technical product owners, design, and engineering, but anchor in user needs and workflow

What you will do:

  • Design and be accountable for platform wide product delivery across multiple teams through both digital product and product as a service.

  • Determine business needs and desires through interviews, market research, competitive research and insights from our team to support the technology needs of IFS to support the end-investor and LPL Financial Advisors

  • Take an innovative and agile approach to enhancing existing products or building new products by partnering with vendors and LPL technology including defining wireframes, functional specifications and user stories

  • Define and continually refine key attributes of existing and new offerings including the business case, economics, and operational model

  • Define mid- and longer-term technology product development roadmap, key features/capabilities, and manage the development cycles with clear schedules, deliverables and milestones.

  • Oversee, allocate and accountable for the management of technology budget, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and optimizing resource utilization.

  • Develop metrics to assess the success of products and features and determine necessary enhancements

  • Help drive thought leadership and platform strategy through presentations and creating a vision for how product contributes to growth of the business unit and LPL.

  • Manage existing team of product managers and helping them succeed in driving desired business outcomes.

What does your success look like in the first 90 days:

  • Understand the business strategy and product vision clearly enough that you can pitch it and identify the key problems you're focused on solving over the next 3 and 6 months

  • Become a subject matter expert on your users' needs with respect to platform modernization and continuity of the client relationship

  • Take ownership of a roadmap and work closely with your design, technical PMs, and development leads to shape it

  • Assess our existing product portfolio and begin to structure backlog

  • Set a vision for your product portfolio and lay the foundation to execute against

Skills, experiences, and education required:

  • 7+ years of experience building digital products or technology-enabled services

  • 7+ years of experience within wealth management, preferably with remote advice delivery

  • Previous experience working with technical product teams to develop product strategies or leading the creation of new product as a service initiative.

  • Previous experience overseeing and managing technology budget and portfolio

  • 7+ years of professional technology or business experience within product management, product design, or project management roles.

  • Major bonus points for: experience with IVR, call routing, and Salesforce Lightning

  • Preferred but not required: prior experience in finance services, SAFE (Scaled Agile for Enterprise), or CPM (Certified Project Manager) credential

Pay Range:

$132,080-$198,120/year

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
