Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage oncology company developing novel targeted therapies for RAS-addicted cancers. The company's R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding colleagues in our tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

Revolution Medicines is seeking an experienced executive with a background in building and leading the human resources business partner function (HRBP) and working as a strategic HRBP in a matrixed, dynamic, high growth biotech or pharma organization. We are seeking an experienced executive who possesses biotech/pharma business understanding, has partnered with senior leadership on business and organizational topics, and has the capability to build impactful relationships across the company. Qualified individuals will be highly skilled systems- thinkers to lead and grow the HRBP function as the organization scales into late-stage development toward commercialization.

This role includes people leadership responsibilities, reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, and based out of our Redwood City, CA headquarters with on-site presence required.

This role will have a significant impact across the organization by further refining our HRBP philosophies and capabilities and by effectively partnering on strategic priorities and projects across our human resources function and the organization. Focus areas will include talent and change management, senior leadership engagement, process development, and project management.

Responsibilities:

  • As a member of the HR Leadership Team, lead HRBP engagement and build impactful relationships across functions and teams to enhance and support the organization's long-term people strategy and planning.

  • Enhance, build, and lead the HRBP function, collaborating with internal team and external vendors to support business needs, as well as overseeing long-term people strategies and programs including workforce planning and organizational design, succession planning, change management, people leader consultation, and performance strategies.

  • Partner and offer expertise in designing cross-functional human resources programs that expand the employee experience, including talent acquisition, total rewards, HR systems, learning & development, and culture and employee engagement programs.

  • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team in full cycle recruitment. Collaborate with team and functional leaders to partner on recruitment strategies and grow talent and technical capability pipelines in support of the business.

  • Through the HRBP team, consult and support different business team leaders in the development and implementation of strategies that will enable the organization to thrive through periods of change.

  • Provide performance management guidance to leaders, including communication of RevMed's approach. Leverage coaching, counseling, and mentoring of people leaders to support leader development and alignment to HR policies and practices.

  • Advise leaders and managers on employee matters, making, or recommending appropriate pathways and/or decisions, which may be complex and in some cases in partnership with legal team.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • 15+ years' experience within Human Resources (or transferable experience) in expanding roles with 8+ years of people leader experience including full or partial oversight of an HRBP function and team.

  • Strong biotech or pharma business acumen and ability to translate strategic priorities with organizational effectiveness and development, capabilities, and interdependencies.

  • Ability to balance strategic elevation with detail orientation and develop solutions to a wide range of highly complex topics.

  • Experience building strong trust partnerships across functional teams and at all levels of leadership with excellent consulting, influencing, change management, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Accustomed to working in a matrixed and dynamic environment where accountability, change agility, urgency, and responsiveness are valued.

  • Robust collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively across a wide range of styles and stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational, process development, and project management skills with the ability to manage projects or program implementations, including development of clear timelines/milestones.

  • Strong MS office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and ability to leverage these tools to effectively communicate.

Preferred Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Biotech or pharma commercial experience and/or familiarity working with commercial organizations, preferably in product launch.

  • Experience in an international setting or working with international teams.

  • Strong analytical capabilities, effective at diagnosing organizational issues and demonstrated skill in use and application of data to address issues.

The expected salary range for this role is $265,000 to $350,000. An individual's position within the range may be influenced by multiple factors, including skills and experience in role, overall performance, individual impact and contributions, tenure, and market dynamics. Base salary is one part of the overall total rewards program at RevMed, which includes competitive cash compensation, robust equity awards, strong benefits, and significant learning and development opportunities.
