What You Will Do
Responsible for developing clinical practice standards, analyze and improve quality outcomes and driving improvement in patient/family experience and HHCAHPS quality reporting.
Directs the development and implementation of clinical standards, protocols of care (based on evidence and patient outcomes measure analysis) and quality outcomes analysis and improvement.
Oversees the identification of best clinical practices and implementation of evidence based practice standards.
Participates in the development of clinician and clinical manager orientation, education and clinical staff development standards in order to determine standards for qualifications and skill level.
Collaborates in the development of practice standards for clinical specialty programs.
Collaborates with business development staff in communicating clinical distinction as a differentiator in the markets served.
Evaluates new clinical technologies, devices and supplies to make recommendations for implementation.
Recommends changes in practice standards to the Policies & Practices Committee of the Governing Body relating to clinical practice and clinical operations.
Directs the development and maintanence of care protocols and ensures their timely distribution to the field organization.
Compiles and analyzes information on changes in clinical practice guidelines. Interprets findings and changes existing practice guidelines, clinical procedures based on available evidence.
Acts as the clinical practice resource for the field, corporate and Regional departments, in addition to conducting presentations and collaborating in the strategic planning process.
Works with IT and systems professionals to ensure clinical documentation needs are met by company systems.
Completes original manuscripts for publication and speaks publicly at national trade association conventions.
Participates in the department annual budget process and monitors expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgets.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational or Speech Therapy and an unencumbered state license to practice the discipline
Ten (10 ) years' management experience in home health.
Expert knowledge of home health industry, related clinical practice and project management principles.
Experience in clinical policy development/implementation.
Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
Multi-site and remote management experience.
