SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join Dstillery as the VP, Holding Company Sales. Reporting to the SVP Head of Sales, this role will be responsible for overseeing the Holding Company Sales group. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving the growth and success of our Holding Company team of 7+ sellers. 

The primary focus will be on coaching the sales team to effectively engage agencies, delivering programmatic targeting solutions, and creating successful and scaled partnerships at the Holding Companies.  The individual in this role will be instrumental in shaping and executing our Holding Company sales strategy to achieve and exceed business objectives.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead, inspire, and manage the Holdco Sales Team, to achieve or exceed sales targets, while continually improving sales efficiency.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the Holding Company sales organization.
  • Sales Strategy and Planning
    • Refine and execute a comprehensive Holding Company sales strategy aligned with the overall business objectives.
      • Develop an effective sales motion to generate revenue growth from clients who buy through 3rd party marketplaces or do not already have a relationship with Dstillery. 
    • Identify new market opportunities and contribute to the evolution of the sales approach.
  • Strategic Partnerships
    • Lead the team in identifying and securing scaled Holding Company wide partnerships with Dstillery
  • Client Engagement
    • Active and persistent in-market presence with sellers at least one week per month.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key agency clients.
    • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Product Knowledge and Innovation
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data solutions.
    • Work closely with the product development team to enhance existing products and introduce new offerings.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting
    • Implement effective sales tracking systems to monitor team performance and provide regular reports to SVP/Executive Team.
    • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Cross Department Collaboration
    • Effectively collaborate and partner with Client Success, Revenue Operations, Marketing, Product and Data Science to scale Holding Company revenue and partnerships. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A successful candidate will have demonstrated a mix of the below qualifications:
  • 10+ years of programmatic, data or Adtech sales experience with a consistent demonstrated track record of exceeding quotas.
  • 4+ years Sales Leadership experience building and managing high performing teams of 6 or more
  • Demonstrated success in creating scaled partnerships with the major Holding Companies
  • Deep understanding of how each Holding Company organizes and operates media agencies including trading groups, planning teams, centralized teams, data and tech assets.
  • Extensive high-level relationships with SVP/-C Level contacts within the major Holding Companies
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
  • A record of “calling high” in major accounts
  • Plans multiple quarters in advance and offers successful techniques for doing so within the context of a transactional business.
  • An energetic can-do leader who demands and inspires their team to do more than they imagined was possible
  • Excellent leadership and coaching skills, and willingness and ability to be hands on when necessary 
  • Demonstrates staying power. Has been in several positions for 3 years or more
  • Adaptable, fast learner
  • Track record of effective and positive cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience managing & hiring in a remote environment
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
