The Role:

We are looking for a Vice President to join our incredible Healthcare team. This person can be based in ANY U.S. location! This person will be leading account activities at a strategic level for one of our marquee accounts, and the work involves patient advocacy, unbranded work, US and Global, digital/social - it is a dream role!

You will oversee all account activities (traditional, digital, branded, unbranded, etc.) and ensure the overall strategic vision, and tactical execution, is in line with the clients objectives. You will be a leader in our business with an expectation to manage all client communication, key internal stakeholders and a junior team of high performers. This is an opportunity to take on a true leadership role and have an impact in our leading Healthcare practice.

What youll do as you move with us:

  • Partner directly with an SVP to develop strategic planning for our clients and the team itself
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with our clients by providing strategic counsel and a mastery of all aspects of client management
  • Help to further develop our healthcare offering, capabilities and growth trajectory
  • Own the brainstorm process; see the need, lead the brainstorm, and begin to identify other team members who have the potential of becoming good brainstorm facilitators
  • Flesh out ideas as they relate to client objectives and learn how to bring them to life in presentations and written proposals
  • Showcase a command of both digital and traditional communication practices and strategies
  • Lead and mentor junior team members to foster a culture of high performance

Experience that contributes to your success:

  • 9+ years of Public Relations agency experience with a focus in the healthcare / pharmaceutical space
  • Impeccable client relationship skills and experience working with high touch clients
  • Experience managing large programs from start to finish
  • Experience managing large budgets and working with vendors, managing out-of-pocket budgets
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills along with strong attention to detail
  • Experience working in and contributing to an inclusive and collaborative environment
  • Ability to push the envelope and think outside of the box

Our ideal candidate must have a strong interest in public relations, with previous working/internship experience within an agency environment. Our Assistant Account executive will work closely with more senior level team members to develop a broad understanding of the business by performing a range of well-defined assignments across writing, editing, media relations, event coordination, pitch development, and message development. Responsibilities * Actively contributes in group and team meetings, as well as in brainstorming, developing and researching client programs. * Develops daily monitoring reports that require minimal editing from supervisors, and are free of typographical and grammatical errors. * Can spot errors in media coverage of the brand/client based on their understanding of the product/study outcome. * Evaluates and analyzes information and data, including development of succinct, accurate summaries and analyses of research. * Drafts news releases, pitch letters, case histories, by-liners, op-eds, etc. * Able to develop fact sheet/backgrounders, first draft of pitch letter Develops media lists and other reports (e.g., competitor, consumer, legislative or interest group analyses) completely and accurately. * Affirmatively works to enhance skills and comfort at conducting media outreach. * Conducts editorial outreach and is gaining understanding of the dynamics of media relations. * Able to develop editorial calendars, and pitch trade and appropriate consumer media. * Arranges meetings and events, including press conferences, analyst meetings, medical meetings, annual meetings and other special events. * Coordinate with vendors, help to prepare competitive intelligence charts, develop briefing books * Develops and proposes storylines and other tactical program elements that further clients' objectives. * Identify vendors for specific program projects, secure price quotes, help team decision-making. * Develops and applies understanding of billing and budgeting processes. * Keeping track of invoices and processing them, and ensuring they are included on proformas in timely manner * Participates in development of programs and new business pitches, for new and existing clients, as assigned * Researches and identifies potential new business opportunities as directed. * Routinely contributes informed opinions and suggestions, as well as creative and effective answers to client issues and needs. * Identifies and pursues opportunities for getting involved and contributing to the account, team and agency. Qualifications * Internship experience in public relations required.
