The VP & GM, Retail Sales will partner with Channel Marketing and Strategic Business Units to implement sales strategies and programs across all Retail customers in our channel. This role is required to be based at our Global HQ's in Cleveland, Ohio (relocation provided).
In alignment with Channel Marketing, develop and implement on sales strategies, programs and initiatives that deliver achievement of revenue, profit and market share objectives.
Drive accountability throughout the customer-specific teams to retain and grow business with existing customers, penetrate new markets and add new accounts.
Provide strategic direction for the development of business plans, forecasts, competitive analysis and general sales administration.
Own and be accountable for performance against sales plans and budgets.
Lead the Retail Sales team in establishing and maintaining relationships in designated key accounts at all levels and functions including executive levels. Execute joint business planning with key accounts.
Evaluate the impact of pricing and promotions in price segments and provide input on revenue growth management, portfolio/category expansion and opportunities.
Partner with channel marketing to develop plans, metrics and objectives relating to new product launches, promotions, campaigns and events.
Monitor business trends, distribution patterns, consumer and trade attitudes, competitive practices and product performance characteristic.
Recruit, train and develop a superior, aggressive and active field sales force, providing optimal market coverage within assigned area and within the Moen Vision, Mission and Operating Philosophy.
Interface with Digital Commerce, Canada and Mexico sales teams as necessary.
Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of sales experience is required. A minimum of 8 years of sales leadership experience with a consumer packaged goods company is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to influence others as well as lead and motivate teams, including a direct sales force.
