Gallagher delivers independent, conflict-free investment advisory and discretionary investment decision-making across whole portfolios, and acting as an independent fiduciary for particular assets to cure ERISA conflicts of interest and prohibited transactions. Clients include ERISA single and multi-employer benefit funds, nonprofit, healthcare, corporate, religious, public pension and other benefit funds, foundations, endowments and union treasury funds. To learn more, visit Position Summary The Area Vice President is responsible for the day-to-day account management of largest and most complex client accounts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Builds, expands, and solidifies relationships with existing clients at all levels within the company * Leads appropriate resources to address the client's risk/capital management needs * Secures existing business and drives the sale of additional services and coverage levels * Cultivates relationships with most senior buyer in the client organization as well as with day-to-day client representatives and buyers * Prepare and negotiate fee-based pricing of services, ensuring account profitability in a value-based approach for the scope of service and costs associated with the client service agreement * Has retention goals Additional Considerations: * Manage day-to-day interaction with clients and other related service providers * Reviewing of all RFP responses that apply to employer stock monitoring engagements * Participate in finalist presentations involving employer stock monitoring prospects * Managing all stock monitoring engagements, including: * Conducting on-going daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly monitoring of all our stock monitoring clients (reviewing news reports, company earnings reports and conference calls, public filings, purchases and sales by institutional investors and insiders, brokerage firm and credit agency reports and ratings and stock price and trading volume patterns) * Managing Washington DC analysts who provide assistance and input into the daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly monitoring * Preparing all quarterly reports, and presenting the reports to our clients at their investment committee meetings * Leading the team of other SVPs and consultants in the consideration and implementation of alternative courses of action as special circumstances arise with our clients (preparing communications to plan participants, adopting or modifying limitations on investments in employer stock within the clients' plans, freezing employer stock funds to new investments, liquidating stock fund holdings of employer stock, and eliminate stock fund as an investment option). * Managing the sunsetting of employer stock funds, including determining sunset timing (# of shares, trading volume, blackout dates, notices), selecting investment medium for sales proceeds, monitoring developments regarding the company and its stock, monitoring participant activity, assist with participant communication, develop and implement liquidation strategy to minimize market impact, report results of liquidation to fiduciary committee) * Determining the cash component level for the client's unitized stock fund (if applicable). * Conducting and manage all proxy voting matters, as engaged by the client including determining whether plan documents call for mirror or discretionary voting of undirected shares, evaluating the information provided to the participants, consider the prudence of the vote to be cast upon application of plan provisions. * Expected to contribute to intellectual capital development and investment best thinking. * Exhibit strong knowledge of finance and investment theory and practice and the ability to apply this knowledge to client work. Required: * Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years client coordination and/or claims management experience * - or -- High school diploma/GED and 10 or more years client coordination and/or claims management experience * License required * Able and willing to travel approximately 25% of the time Desired: * Professional designation may be preferred, such as CPCU, CIC or ARM * Minimum 1 year experience with A.J.
