The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels (owner and operator of The Peninsula Hotels, The Repulse Bay and many high-profile assets globally) is seeking a Vice President, Food and Beverage (F&B). This role has arisen due to an internal promotion, and will allow the new leader to oversee the growth of the Company's F&B offerings across standalone restaurants and bars, as well as highly regarded operations located in high profile locations.

Key Deliverables

  • Develop, implement and maintain the strategic vision of the overall food and beverage direction for the company, whilst chairing the Group F&B Steering Committee

  • Analyse trends and prepare critical metrics to deliver in-market competitive advantages and unique offerings

  • Define and refine culinary concepts per outlet, coordinating with marketing, training, and leadership teams

  • Ensure alignment with the company vision, standards and specific outlet business plans

  • Continuously improve upon and communicate the Food and Beverage standards and expectations (e.g. ingredients guidelines, hygiene and safety, service, brand)

  • Ensure consistency of food and beverage offerings within the Company by conducting site visits and reports

  • Identify and cultivate high potential F&B colleagues for development and opportunities within the company including supporting the maintenance of F&B training programmes and quality audits

  • Support the Lifestyle F&B Steering Committee regarding the development of free standing restaurants and bars

  • Develop and lead F&B strategies by initiating market studies and customer insights

  • Provide F&B leadership and input pertaining to concept development, in coordination with the HSH Projects and Operational teams

General Requirements

  • Degree in hospitality, culinary, business or related disciplines

  • Experience opening, operating and leading F&B operations in a luxury setting

  • Innate knowledge of Michelin or similar, in addition to being an influential individual with exquisite F&B discernment

  • Minimum 10 years' senior leadership experience - must currently be holding a Regional or VP F&B position for a reputable hotel / hospitality group

  • Fluent written and spoken English communication skills with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders

  • Highly presentable and analytical (able to communicate reports and analysis to all stakeholders).

  • Frequent travel will be required
