Department Overview

WDTech is diverse group of energetic and highly skilled technology professionals, all of whom are leading experts in real estate data, data science and technology.

WDTech is on a mission to make the world of commercial real estate more transparent, efficient, and faster. Our multidisciplinary teams leverage data analytics and data science to unearth meaningful insights from an extraordinary volume and variety of property, hyperlocal, and market data.

WDTech Product works hand in hand with the W&D business to translate business outcomes into actionable product strategies, aligning user needs with innovative solutions, via close collaboration with our engineering partners, to ensure W&D maintains a competitive advantage as our technology landscape and target market rapidly evolve.

W&D's Affordable Housing Equity group is a leading tax credit firm focused on tax credit syndication for the development and financing of affordable multifamily rental housing. As Director of Product for Affordable Housing Equity, you will play a pivotal role in developing an innovative platform that supports the building of a better future for the communities W&D serves

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the product strategy and roadmap, building critical capabilities from concept to customer

  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, and prototypes

  • Work with all stakeholders appropriate to your area to understand problems, desired outcomes and craft a solution

  • Collaborate with our engineers to deliver a quality product on time

  • Engage with customers and partners to deliver roadmap updates, get product feedback, and identify additional challenges and opportunities

  • Represent WD as a domain and product expert at customer interactions

  • Presence in the office, generally 8:30 am

  • 5:30 pm EST, 3 days per week

Education and Experience

  • 10 or more years of experience in B2B Product Management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge, and experience in the practical application, of the latest product discovery principles and methods

  • Creative thinker who can conclude meaningful insights from data

  • Proven ability to positively influence teams and both internal and external stakeholders through empathetic product leadership

  • Strong agile mindset, able to iterate fast and give early feedback

  • Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English

  • Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth

opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes

  • Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders

This position has an estimated base salary of $168,000-210,000.00 plus discretionary bonus.
