Vice President Digital Strategy Product Manager Commercial Banking

The Firm's broad platform positions the Commercial Bank to deliver extensive product capabilities - lending, treasury services, investment banking, and asset management - to meet our clients' domestic and international financial needs.

We are undertaking an aggressive digital transformation agenda, which builds on the success of the current mobile and online service offerings; investing in innovative ways to deepen customer engagement and profitability through the use of digital channels. The goal is to position Commercial Banking as the undisputed leader in digital financial services and payments (similar to what we have done on the consumer banking side), to enable highly personalized delivery and real time experiences that clients increasingly expect.

We are seeking a highly effective and innovative Digital Strategy Product Manager to drive transformation, focused on building out a high performance digital innovation and development culture, managing the Digital book of work to ensure a single-experience driven roadmap, and working closely with the management team to build capabilities that will excite our customers and lower our cost to serve.

Key Responsibilities:

As a member of the Digital Product - Commercial Banking team, the Digital Strategy Product Manager will define and drive strategy for products and integrations supporting digital onboarding transformation. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and possess strong product management skills in order to drive a product domain from inception through delivery. You will drive critical programs throughout the agile method, working closely with process owners, business and digital product managers, functional areas, customer experience/design teams.

Responsibilities include the ability to successfully execute, develop and maintain relationships across cross-functional teams and lines of business to gather input, socialize insights and gain buy-in for solutions.

  • Develop and drive internal/external facing product strategy for specific domains related to the onboarding experience

  • Align product strategy to overall roadmap and onboarding future state vision

  • Act as a product thought leader for the overall product vision

  • Core product management of related features & functions

  • Development of product features by collaborating with technology, digital, design and subject matter experts across Operations, Know Your Customer and client onboarding, service and front-office

  • Own and proactively identify issues and drive resolutions end-to-end

  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders

  • Engage and support communications activities with senior stakeholders

  • Produce project reporting and tracking documentation to evaluate progress and quality as needed

  • Develop business cases and communicate product strategy to senior audiences

  • Gather and deliver requirements related to evolve onboarding transformation

  • Agile management of product requirements, stories and rapid prototyping as needed

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this role must have experience driving program digital process and delivery, with experience in financial services.

  • Developing client journeys and related artifacts to tell the client experience story

  • Develop business cases and communicate product strategy to senior audiences

  • Gather and deliver requirements related to evolve onboarding transformation

  • Agile management of product requirements and experience in JIRA and Confluence expected

  • Develop and maintain journey / process maps

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience including a minimum of 2 years of experience in the financial services sector

  • Established track record of delivery of results in a complex environment

  • Demonstrated strong ability to analyze problems, design solutions, and communicate effectively and confidently (both verbal and written) with relevant stakeholders to gain buy-in

  • Comfort with ambiguity and proven ability to structure problems and develop analytical frameworks

  • Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment

  • Flexibility/adaptability (ability to change direction based upon team and stakeholder consensus)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Visio, MS Excel, MS Project and PowerPoint tools)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA

  • Previous product management/development, consulting, or strategy experience

  • Awareness and practical understanding of current technologies, and their application and relevance to digital and overall client experiences

  • Experience in Commercial Banking

  • Preferred location is Chicago or New York, NY

  • Limited travel
