Responsibilities

Under the direction of the CMO of Destination, Hudson Yards, the Digital Media / Social Engagement Director will strengthen the consumer marketing program supporting overall Hudson Yards neighborhood positioning including more than 100 retail and restaurant tenant partnerships by growing community connections online, developing and executing the influencer program, and overseeing digital analytics and digital media strategy.

  • Propose, construct, manage and measure strategic engagement with target consumers on social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)

  • Community management (direct interaction, invigoration, issue resolution)

  • Content development and strategy - on Hudson Yards and relevant partner social media platforms.

  • Oversee social media content calendar

  • Manage social agencies

  • Oversee influencer program

  • Maintain relationships and outreach

  • Ensure on-going engagement especially from an "Only at Hudson Yards" lens

  • Live media optimization in real-time and on an ongoing basis

  • Able to align strategy and tactics with Hudson Yards' brand identity and business objectives

  • Measure, monitor and strategize on various consumer profiles and demographics interests, triggers and as well studying trends in their preferences for current culture and public discourse

  • Ability to bridge various teams to ensure consistent messaging in content

  • Develop reports and write-ups to ensure relevant metrics and insights are shown, demonstrating knowledge of KPIs, articulating performance and identifying potential opportunities

  • On-going analysis of social media platforms and website

  • Assist in integrating CRM insights into digital strategy and re-marketing

  • Manage website content

  • Updates to website in terms of media and copy

  • Strategize storylines

  • Oversee digital advertising campaigns (determine target social platforms, target audiences, creative implementation strategies, etc.)

  • Conduct controlled A/B tests to provide learnings for future campaigns

  • Constantly work to improve campaign performance, collection of insights and takeaways

  • Research emerging opportunities to engage with target audiences on social and digital platforms

  • Responsible for social engagement rules, outlets, practices, and macro/micro trends

Qualifications

  • Passionate and excited about social media and content strategy

  • An excellent communicator, particular in video and written communication

  • Able to foster conversations with consumers across social platforms

  • Engage with a variety of relevant demographics and generations Millennials as well as Gen X/Y, and Boomers

  • Both a creative and analytical person

  • Ability to brainstorm and strategize social media initiatives based on goals

  • Manage on-site digital coverage of events

  • Able to encapsulate and report on community insights

  • Ability to analyze data/metrics and create reports

  • Successful in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-energy environment

  • Comfortable diving into in a rigorous work environment and juggling a variety of projects on a day-to-day basis

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented with an efficient work style

  • A team player that enjoys collaboration

  • Driven, with a strong desire to continually learn, problem-solve and have an impact

Required Experience:

  • BA or BS degree

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience

  • Experience in content strategy and execution

  • Active user of social media and deep understanding of the social web

  • Knowledge of social platforms as well as 3rd party apps (e.g. Tweetdeck, Percolate, etc.)

  • Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables and macros

  • Proven record of managing multiple projects at once, including organizing work, setting priorities and meeting all deadlines

By staying current with the latest social media trends and developments, this person is a thought leader from trends to tactics, analytics to strategy and execution to performance with a blend of creative AND strategic mind. This person is responsible for guiding the strategic planning of objectives, goals and strategies across all channels and business units. As a master of multitasking and an expert in speed and efficiency, this person manages multiple activities both local and global by working closely with the Marketing teams (Global, US and international counterparts), Paid Media Leads, Search and other internal teams along with the advertising agency; planning quarterly and monthly content needs; initiating social innovation discussions; and continually having an eye to optimize owned social media channels by engaging community, sharing a memorable brand story, driving brand awareness and engagement to create a path to purchase. Ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing strategies, analyzing and learning from social initiatives, executing social media activations and promotions. Experience working with beauty, lifestyle and luxury brands a plus but not required.
