Position Summary:
The Vice President of DBS position focuses on driving a culture of DBS and continuous improvement within the company. The position will help plan and implement DBS activities across operational, commercial, transactional, materials and new product development processes. The DBS role must be able to help leaders identify top priority needs, design and implement plans for change, and deliver communication that quantifies the results that occurred as a result of the event. This position will also be responsible for gathering and analyzing key data teams and presenting action recommendations to business leaders. Incumbents should be comfortable leading groups, driving change, providing guidance to others and have strong interpersonal skills.
Essential Job Functions
Drive targeted, sustainable improvement in QDCI (Quality, Delivery, Cost and Innovation) that is tied to Policy Deployment (PD) and Daily Management (DM) by leveraging DBS tools, consulting skills, and the change management process.
Collaborate with functional and business unit leaders in the development of a DBS Roadmap (i.e., how to use the DBS tools to drive sustainable improvement in results).
Drive DBS immersion for L1 leaders and mentor Business DBSLs in application of DBS.
Facilitate the execution of DBS training sessions when appropriate (trainers and consultants from Danaher, Shingijutsu or other).
Champion DBS and develop and ensure implementation of best practices across diverse business environments.
Promote and facilitate diagnosis of work flow impediments and other wastes throughout the business, and provide counsel on appropriate DBS tools to eliminate them.
Improve DBS training and facilitation skills by pursuing certification in DBS tools.
Participate in merger and acquisition activities including due diligence, identification of opportunities and integration activities.
Drive project success through delivery of budgets for multi-year funding and expenditure within the context of long-term strategic priorities.
Benchmark and incorporate standard methodologies from other Danaher locations and externally.
Implement associate development in various DBS tools and kaizen leadership. Develop DBS talent within the organization and execute a Certified Practitioner funnel to support business needs.
Responsible for talent management to ensure the continued development for direct reports. Partner closely with the human resources organization in developing organizational capabilities through succession planning, organizational assessment, identification of key skill gaps, talent acquisition and talent development strategies that link with business goals.
Create trusted relationships with your team members; Understand what they value and support them in achieving their development goals. Mentor the team to enhance their network and identify ambitious / stretch roles or projects to support career progression.
Up to 50% travel.

The ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes.
