As the head of Data Architecture within Fidelity Investments you are responsible for the strategic direction for data and for the systems supporting the Fidelity Fund, Brokerage, Operations and Technology group, driving innovation and data architecture roadmaps and blueprints across our organization. The role is based in Smithfield, RI or Merrimack, NH.
You are responsible for evaluating and recommending different solutions in alignment with our Cloud and Data Strategy and technology Blueprints. You provide leadership/guidance to the business and technology areas delivering data architecture, design, and development of reusable capabilities across multiple products. Additionally, you will collaborate with key enterprise partners in the adoption of emerging enterprise standards and technologies.
The Expertise You Have
15 years of experience in defining data architecture strategies and solutions and establishing reusable capabilities and data patterns
Expertise in building actionable insights, Cloud, API, Data and Analytics strategies for FBOT
Extensive experience in defining technology blueprints, roadmaps and defining solutions and enabling data architecture and product capabilities
Provide strategic data technology direction and data architecture vision for the systems supporting FBOT businesses.
Extensive experience in tool selection
Develop data reference models, blueprints, roadmaps, & standard methodologies
Provide comprehensive data architecture services supporting delivery teams by embedding architecture into the delivery and agile product models' practices
Contribute to architectural oversight and governance processes at a team and product level to ensure consistency across FBOT Products and with larger Fidelity.
Ensure alignment of the data strategy with day-to-day work by establishing direct communication with the developers specifically and all IT and business leaders in general.
Provide data model, tools and frameworks to enable better decision-making at all levels of the IT organization
Establish connections and bring an outside in technology industry perspective to FBOT
Champion our efforts in FBOT to build a culture of Innovation and Experimentation.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field. Advanced graduate degree a plus.
