The Opportunity
Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing, L.P. is seeking a skilled individual for our Vice President, Corporate Planning Scm position at our DTTP - Waller, TX location. The VP will report directly to the Senior Vice President and is responsible for domestic and import supply chain management (SCM) and total inventory reporting for the organization. This includes gathering, reporting and communicating sales, production and inventory metrics and managing the S&OP process. The SCM leader will evaluate the demand forecast and coordinate production and inventory fulfillment requirements while targeting optimal inventory levels. The position will be responsible for working closely with DIL SCM to set inventory policy and follow up on all inventory categories. The SCM group is also responsible for managing the phase-in phase-out process to properly manage down excess inventory and ensure proper customer satisfaction levels for new products. Daikin Texas Technology Park- has a footprint of 4.23 million square feet under a single roof, and is the third largest factory in the United States. Opened in 2017 as the manufacturing, logistics, and engineering center for Daikin's American subsidiary Goodman, the plant makes heating and air conditioning products sold under the Goodman, Amana, and Daikin brands.

Responsibilities
May include:
Responsible for evaluating the BU unit sales volume demand forecasts which will lead to the production plan by month.
Coordinate Daikin import product purchases with sister companies to ensure proper stocking levels.
Work with Manufacturing and Logistics to communicate the demand requirements while working with the factories to help optimize their efficiencies.
Monitor SKU counts and balance sales requirements and manufacturing/engineering capabilities.
Facilitate weekly PSI meetings with Manufacturing to discuss status of demand and any changes forthcoming to their production rates. Publish PSI as needed prior to meetings, to finance, procurement and factory personnel.
Manage new product phase-in phase-out.
Establish targets and follow up on actions to manage down all inventory categories; domestic, import, Quietflex, DODs, PS&A, Raw/WIP.
Mentor employees so they are prepared to grow to their desired roles as needed.
Prepare annual employee reviews.
Maintain data accuracy of published sales and inventory documents to senior team, as well as data use to make internal production decisions for inventory coverage to customers.
Provide Senior Team with ad-hoc reports as necessary.
Manage the planning staff including hiring, training and development for best in class talent.
Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.
