Position Summary The VP Construction will be responsible for process improvement, scaling, standards & training and transformation of all construction service line teams within Progress. This leader will establish relationships with senior leadership to ensure that construction initiatives align with business and investment goals. Likewise, the VP Construction will develop and maintain strategic relationships with external partners / suppliers to ensure Progress’s growth goals and other corporate needs are fully supported.

Key Responsibilities Develop and lead organizational strategy in close partnership with senior leadership Create and manage short, mid, and long-term goals / objectives for light construction organization Work with internal and external partners to expeditiously understand current construction processes, team structures, opportunities, and layout transformation plan to achieve identified opportunities Lead transformation of construction service lines & post transformation operations Lead a professional construction service line team, including training, development, scaling, performance management and knowledge management capabilities Create and improve best-practice based processes Drive identification and realization of cost-saving / reduction opportunities within construction Develop budgets and growth plans for construction service lines under management Develop benchmarks and scorecards to be used for continuous improvement Design and test predictive scoping processes and capabilities primarily in construction Be a core leader in developing and improving efficiencies in property lifecycle cost management / "Total Cost to Operate" Monitor and report (on a regular basis) on organization performance Establish, maintain, and keep current standard operating procedures for construction Pivotal Experience & Expertise Bachelors degree in construction, economics, finance, operations, engineering or a related area, with a Masters degree preferred At least 10 years of senior construction and operational management experience Experience scaling organizations and building functions from the ground up Extensive knowledge of the home renovation, turn, and construction processes / execution Experience successfully leading large organization transformation initiatives, preferably in service sector / property management, requiring demonstration of change management skills and self-awareness to take varying approaches with stakeholders Knowledge of enterprise risk management and business continuity planning Strong negotiation and relationship building skills Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and other scope of work software What you can expect from us: Progress Residential® offers all the financial and non-financial incentives you would expect from an innovative real estate investment and management firm: In addition to outstanding training, we host quarterly summits and town hall meetings to encourage growth, knowledge sharing and a good time.
