Responsible for the leadership of Hitachi Vantara's corporate communications function, to include the development and execution of the strategic direction aligned with enterprise goals. Effectively manages enterprise communications resources to Hitachi Vantara's best advantage while ensuring enterprise compliance. Responsible for internal, executive and external communications, reputation management, press, analyst and influencer relations to support Hitachi Vantara's mission and business objectives.
Defines a clear and compelling vision for company communications at Hitachi Vantara.
Ensures compliance with all internal and external controls and regulatory standards.
Establishes and directs internal, executive and external communications programs to support specific objectives of Hitachi Vantara's businesses as well as Hitachi Vantara's mission, reputation, and enterprise goals.
Demonstrates senior executive-level thought leadership, strategy development and operational planning.
Oversees implementation of communications strategies and tactics to ensure that clear and consistent messages reach appropriate audiences.
Provides strategic day-to-day communications counsel to all functional heads. Establishes strong, collaborative relationships with Hitachi Vantara's executive leadership team.
Fosters positive relationships between Corporate Communications and other marketing functions and collaborates closely with leadership in support of business objectives.
Creates strong team unity and an engaged workforce where every employee takes personal responsibility for Hitachi Vantara's mission.
Uses leadership abilities to advocate for engaged employees through teambuilding, coaching, performance management and professional development.
Acts as a responsible steward of Hitachi Vantara's resources by managing corporate communications budget, workforce plan, and establishing appropriate business metrics and regular monitoring to ensure both effective and efficient operations.
Travels on behalf of Hitachi Vantara and represents the brand at publicly sponsored events.
Recruits, develops and retains high-performing communication professionals and ensures the organization stays abreast of best practices.
Ten or more years of progressive communications experience developing strategies, managing major communications initiatives and delivering results within a complex matrixed environment.
Ten or more years of people leadership experience in building and developing high-performing teams.
Experience collaborating with key resources and stakeholders, influencing decisions and managing work to achieve strategic goals.
Senior executive-level business acumen in the areas of business operations, industry practices and emerging trends.
Eight years' experience in a leadership position supporting C-level executives or board members in a lead communications role.
Ability to set high standards for excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, and coach team members to deliver the same.
Ability to identify and manage risk. Understanding of legal, compliance and regulatory issues applicable to our industry
