Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, we are looking for a dynamic, results-oriented leader to join the Teladoc Health team, responsible for telling our story in creative, inspiring ways that resonate both internally and externally. With a proven track record as a respected communications expert, the ideal candidate will not only serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives globally on communications strategies, but seamlessly able to bridge advising and doing.

What you will do:

  • Shape and lead all aspects of communications, spanning corporate/crisis/deal communications, PR, internal communications, etc

  • Define and drive our strategic narrative to shape our corporate reputation, ensuring that the voice and vision of the company is understood, both internally and externally

  • Hands on definition and direction of strategic message development, as well as thought leadership strategy and execution

  • Lead cross functional team in development & deployment of partnership/deal announcement related communications, both internal and external

  • Works with Leadership to ensure communications always stay focused/relevant to our overarching strategy and voice, specifically supporting the CEO in his role as chief spokesperson

  • Define and drive corporate social responsibility strategy and deployment.

  • Serve as a company spokesperson

  • Hire, develop, and retain diverse talent with the appropriate mix of talent and skills to drive innovation and performance

Requirements:

  • A self starter who can shape how we tell our story to the world, requiring the ability to develop relationships, set a strategy, and execute

  • Well established relationships within the broader media landscape

  • A team player with management experience who enjoys working in a fast paced (technology preferred), collaborative environment with a focus on data and impact

  • A superb writer who can distill complex ideas into simple, intellectually credible narratives

  • Exhibit professional confidence at all times with the ability to effectively execute on a high volume of initiatives under tight deadlines

  • Ability to drive strategy and execute in often compressed timelines to balance operational and strategic needs

  • Limited travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A seasoned Communications executive with 15+ years of experience in both consumer and B2B communications a must; healthcare (technology) and/or international experience a strong preference

  • Demonstrated success in serving as an influential, trusted communications strategist to senior executives and other leaders across a full range of communications activities

  • Significant experience in a senior external communications role with a proven track record of creating and implementing consistent communications strategy

Job Title Senior Vice President, B2B and Product Marketing - North America Overview The NAM Integrated Marketing and Communications team helps deliver financial and franchise goals and advance a world beyond cash; by creating and strengthening Mastercard's competitive differentiation leading to stakeholder preference, adoption and loyalty. Within the NAM Integrated Marketing and Communications team, the SVP of B2B and Product Marketing will build and grow an organization that is skilled in partnering with the Sales, Product and Delivery teams to understand and meet the business needs of our Issuers, Acquirers, Merchants and other go-to-market Partners. He/she will lead a team of marketers to ensure that plans are solutions-based for the customers and lead to deal and distribution wins for Mastercard; leverage our brand equity and assets; and build consumer preference and usage. The team will work closely with Marketing and directly face off with the most Senior Marketers/Customers at issuers, merchants, government, healthcare provider partners and prospects. The lead will play a significant role in business development for the region, responsible for evolving our capabilities including best in class RFP management for NAM, and will be the Marketing lead on all strategic deal opportunities, stewarding packaging, messaging, presentation and the customized leverage of marketing assets for all new business opportunities. As the lead of Product Marketing, he/she will partner with NAM Product and Services teams to develop the consumer and/or B2B positioning for every product/service in North America. He/she will also drive the evolution of our customer engagement communication plans and execution across all levels of customers from c-suite to mid management and beyond. In addition, the B2B and Product Marketing lead takes on a leadership position on critical preference and usage strategic initiatives for the region – from digital growth via SRC and Card On File to Contactless, including all B2B2C activities to drive incremental revenue and top of wallet behavior. The Lead in this role overseas four teams including, 1) Issuer and Merchant Marketing, 2) Product Marketing, 3) New Flows and Healthcare Marketing, and 4) Citi/American Airlines Marketing. His/her leadership will build a team of world-class marketers. This role sits on the leadership team of US President Issuers and EVP, Marketing Development and he/she will play a significant role in the evolution of our sales organization and our relationship building with key customers. Direct reports will sit on EVP/CAMs leadership teams The Lead should also play a leadership role for the region, providing best practices and shared platforms/programs with the Canada market. Role Success will be when marketplace results and positive feedback from Sales, Customers and Delivery teams show that B2B Marketing helped deliver differentiation, deal-wins, distribution and, ultimately, dollars for Mastercard. The role includes leadership of: * Issuer Marketing - Understand business objectives of the internal Cluster Account Managers (CAMs) and external customers (Issuers, Prepaid program managers, Government); and work with the Sales Account Leads to develop effective marketing programs and initiatives (both strategic one-off and scalable turn-key). This function supports 5 Issuer Segments led by EVPs. US Marketing Lead on all support and strategic marketing initiatives for the Citi Relationship. Develops programs to support the adoption of SRC and contactless. * Merchant Marketing – Lead the development of marketing programs to support key merchant verticals and strategic merchants to drive greater preference and loyalty among consumers and our merchant partners. This includes: Retail, Travel, Restaurants, Digital Partnerships, Emerging Verticals - over 200 managed merchants. In addition, leads development/delivery of significant marketing partnership requirements for #1 cobrand partner: American Airlines. Develops all marketing programs to support the adoption and usage of SRC and contactless. * B2B Product Marketing – Partner with the Product Teams to leverage data and insights for product development and positioning opportunities leading to Product Line Strategies across all core products; develop packaged marketing (B2B and B2B2C) of products and bundles; recommend and execute marketing strategies and programs for go-to-market execution; steer integration of Mastercard's Product Programs with Marketing platforms and vice-versa. * Card on File Lead – Leverage data and insights to develop strategies and manage execution across the region and multiple cross-functional groups to significant increase our COF share position with e/m commerce merchants and ultimately top of wallet. Develop Marketing programs, work with key cross-functional partners to develop best practices, influence critical merchants and issuers to execute programs to drive consumer behavior. * Business Development – Lead the discipline and practice of RFP management across NAM. Ensure roll out and adoption of RFP Factory for NAM (repository of best practices and usable content for both US and CAN). Work side by side with Sales Leads on all strategic business development opportunities to ensure we position Mastercard effectively against each customer's unique needs. Manage the development of RFP submissions and presentations. Overall elevate the discipline of Marketing Mastercard as part of the RFP process. Bring Marketing capabilities and assets to each pitch to demonstrate our value proposition in Marketing. * Integration with and Amplification of Mastercard's Marketing Platforms -- Harness the distribution reach and affinity of Issuers and Merchants with their respective consumer bases to scale the impact of the Priceless marketing platforms, new product launches and product optimization initiatives. * Performance Management Optimization -- promote a culture of learning, integration, testing, and ROI measurement; of focusing on the critical few rather than the interesting many * People -- build and lead a team of world-class, business-biased B2B marketing professionals, who can grow into future CMOs and senior Business Managers.
