Today's fans consume media significantly differently than they did just a few years ago. And while traditional TV remains core to the media landscape, fans actually spend more time on digitally connected devices than they do on TV. And once there, they are doing different things, from sharing on social media to creating content of their own. This new reality creates an unprecedented opportunity for NFL Media to fulfill our objective of reaching as many fans as possible regardless of where they are, while growing the overall NFL business.

To support this objective, the NFL Media group is seeking a Vice President, Business Strategy & Operations to serve as the primary business partner to the executive leadership team of NFL Network and NFL Digital Media. This new leadership position is charged with partnering with business leaders to enhance the value of our media properties, including NFL Network, NFL Digital and our presence on Social Media platforms. Additionally, this executive position will be responsible for overseeing the long-term and annual strategic plan development in addition to managing a robust portfolio of strategic projects. Furthermore, this position will be responsible for managing business operations activities, including business management, media intelligence reporting, and digital contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight of long-term and annual strategic planning process for NFL Network and NFL Digital content, product and operations teams, including ensuring a disciplined process to define, communicate, activate, and manage strategic initiatives that will drive achievement of short and long-term business goals.

  • Strong partnership with League Strategy and Finance leadership to ensure strategy development approach interfaces and aligns with League-wide priorities.

  • Serve as internal consultant for key business leaders in vetting strategic ideas, identifying growth opportunities, developing plans for key initiatives, and measure success/failure of existing initiatives.

  • Oversee global data, metrics, reporting and analytics for content consumption across key platforms such as NFL Media's owned and operated properties (e.g., NFL Network, NFL Films, NFL.com, NFL Mobile, NFL NOW and NFL Game Pass), digital properties that offer NFL Media content (e.g., Social Media and YouTube), and close coordination and alignment with the NFL's Consumer Insights & Research team (e.g., Nielsen for domestic television consumption and consumer research projects).

  • Deliver timely, thoughtful intelligence reports and analysis to key stakeholders, crafted with the sense of urgency required in a live events/live content business and with the executive audience in mind

  • Oversee market research or business model creation to support strategic opportunities under evaluation (market sizing, competitive analyses, SWOT analyses, etc.)

  • Work closely with programming, product, integrated sales, media sales, and business development departments to generate revenue growth.

  • Supervise internal team managing finance administration, contract administration, contract compliance, business continuity planning, audit and risk management.

  • Lead a team of 15+ individuals across strategy, media intelligence and operations disciplines

Vice President of Strategic PMO The VP, Global Project Management Office will be responsible for leading the Project Management Office in a global risk management and execution-focused manner. The focus for this position is to drive organizational effectiveness and accountability and equally serves as a key liaison with departmental leaders and their verticals. This position facilitates planning, prioritization, collaboration and reporting between groups and delivery of the end product. This individual demonstrates a thorough understanding of project management methodologies, as well as the ability to execute and interact with business partners and cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are achieved. The PMO is responsible for coordinating the execution of MedMen's numerous near-term and long-term projects that support the company's key strategic initiatives. This coordination includes managing all aspects of implementing the portfolio of these strategic initiatives across the enterprise: working with MedMen's senior leadership team to define scope, manage work products and plans, and ensuring initiatives are delivered within the defined scope, quality, time and cost requirements. Principal Duties and Responsibilities * PMO development and oversight * Interview, hire, coach, train and develop staff. This includes, but not limited to, employee development, staff evaluations, and performance management of assigned staff. * Drives the adoption and implementation of project and program management methodology and oversees project and program management coaching. Establishes methodologies and governance for the Organization. * Establishes a program to ensure utilization and maturation of best practice project management standards and methodologies. Fosters an environment for team and individual growth and success by providing mentoring and training in Project management established processes, policies, and procedures. * Implement communities of practice in the area of Project Management and Process Engineering while transforming it to support an Enterprise Agile Organization. * Develop and manage detailed project plans for complex programs with matrixed stakeholders across all departments * Develop and manage the company's project portfolio * Develop common PMO processes, tools, and project governance to be leveraged on selected enterprise or transformation projects. * Communication and Reporting * Defines metrics and reports to ensure successful project delivery; globally * Sets standards to be implemented to capture meaningful data; distributes the data and insights to key leaders across the organization * Monitor and report on various projects to keep stakeholders informed of the progress. * Develop executive level briefing material and associated analytics to guide and steer decision making. * Create and manage reporting of status and progress along with team communication * Demand management * Works closely with all constituents to prioritize programs and projects based on business needs, resource capacity, risk exposure and interdependencies. * Ensures that investments and initiatives are aligned with business strategy and priorities. * Evaluate current processes and implement global practice improvements to ensure Organization alignment and frictionless delivery Qualifications * Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in business, IT, finance, or accounting; MBA preferred. * Proven track record of building and running a successful PMO * Excellent analytical and Excel-based modeling skills. * Proven leadership and interpersonal skills to coach, motivate, develop and manage a team. * Strong communication and relationship building skills at senior levels, with the ability to interpret and summarize data to help management achieve strategic and operational goals. * Experience leading cross-disciplinary, cross-functional projects to drive business process change affecting multiple business units. * Clear and articulate oral and written communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills. * Strong analytical and decision-making abilities. * Excellent project management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. * Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment * High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing projects and priorities simultaneously * PMP certification required * 5+ years' experience with project management in a matrixed environment * Proven experience of managing projects, budgets and justifying resource needs to senior leaders and finance partners Medmen Culver City CA
