As Vice President and General Manager of US Residential Services, you will be responsible for managing Viasat's growing residential broadband business in the United States. You will have end-to-end responsibility of the business financials and operations. You will own all performance KPI metrics involving marketing, sales, operations, and customer retention. Your responsibilities will include:
Profit & Loss responsibility for the Viasat US Residential Internet business
Drive performance and strategy development of the US Residential Internet operations through careful monitoring of results, proactively correcting any shortfalls, and acting on opportunities for improvements.
Drive sales growth through existing channels and develop new sales channels
Overall management of subscriber KPI metrics
Be an accessible and visible leader to the organization, building on a performance led culture; develop executives and, as necessary, recruit outstanding executive talent to the company's US activities, promotions, products etc.
Forge and maintain positive long-term relationships with relevant external stakeholders such as government, customers, partners, etc.
Performance measurement criteria:
Sales and activation results
10+ years of experience in the telecommunications or consumer technology industries
General management and P&L experience of leading teams encompassing multiple functions
Extensive experience with customer acquisition strategies
Strong command of data analytics and reporting
Strong commercial foundations in the industry and consumer services
Basic understanding of US broadband market and regional characteristics
Strong understanding of subscription business KPIs and subscriber economics
Great entrepreneur mindset where intelligence, drive, and business best practices come together to building business, sometimes with less traditional methods.
BA/BS in Business/Economics/Communications/Finance/Engineering; Master's degree preferred
