The Process Supervisor will help create an exciting and friendly environment where associates display speed, spirit, and smile while delivering the best value to our customers. The Process Supervisor is a member of the management team, which is responsible for increasing sales, controlling expenses, creating the ultimate customer experience, and leading a team of engaged associates. The Process Supervisor works closely with the Assistant Store Managers to ensure that sales goals are understood and the plan for the store is met or exceeded for the day, week, month, and year. This Process Supervisor will drive and execute the tactical processes and procedures within the store. The intentions of the Process Supervisor will be to become the successor to an Assistant Store Manager.
Responsible for the merchandise handling: process all store shipping and receiving functions, provide on the job training and supervision of freight processors, maintain an organized stockroom, and oversee the replenishment process. Work with store management to determine the most efficient stockroom layout. Clearly label all boxes, stock all items by size, and maintain stockroom efficiency.
Ensure all delivery information is recorded and accurately reported.
Work with store management to train staff on shipping, receiving, and stockroom procedures to provide adequate coverage for responsibilities when needed.
Perform transfers of damaged and defective merchandise and complete re-tickets.
Oversee and execute markdowns in a timely and accurate manner. Audit markdowns to ensure accuracy.
Communicate inventory and merchandise-handling concerns and/or opportunities to management on a regular basis.
Be proactive in Loss Prevention and work with store management to address concerns.
Open and close the store in the absence of a Store or Assistant Store Manager.
Shadow each Assistant Store Manager to learn different aspects of the Assistant Store Manager role.
Participate in safety meetings.
Perform these and other tasks as assigned.
Key Responsibilities- Open/closing the store:
Maintains store appearance in accordance with VF Outlet standards and guidelines.
Assists in maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly store.
Responds to and addresses customer's complaints or inquiries.
Ensures that the associates are engaged and able to service the customer.
Perform all opening and closing management procedures.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Associates are regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers to handle and feel objects, stoop, kneel, or crouch, climb a ladder, and balance.
