Medical Oncology Technician

Position Overview:

The Veterinary Technician supports hospital operations by providing dedicated quality veterinary care and exceptional service to our patients and clients. You will assist in conducting examinations, assisting and administering chemotherapy treatments, provide nursing care, and maintaining patient medical records.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with DVM's in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures

  • Obtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates.

  • Providing outstanding client care and communication to the highest standards

  • Anesthesia monitoring

  • Catheter & IV Placement

  • Documenting of medications, procedures and administrating treatments of patients while hospitalized

  • Obtaining patient histories from clients for DVM during appointments

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 year of working knowledge in veterinary. RVT preferred, PVT accepted, experience considered for Veterinary Assistants who have worked in the capacity of a Veterinary Technician.

  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community.

  • Excellent client communication and education skills required

VRCC Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital is a 24 hour emergency and specialty veterinary hospital located in Englewood, Colorado. We see patients from both a referral basis from general practice veterinarians, as well as directly from clients in need of specialty veterinary care for their pet. We specialize in Cardiology, Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Medical and Radiation Oncology, Ophthalmology, as well as orthopedic and soft tissue Surgery.

We are looking for a full time patient focused, detail oriented, and eager to learn Veterinary Technician to join our Medical Oncology team. As a new member of our Oncology team you will receive training in administering chemotherapy, CT imaging, various oncologic conditions and more! VRCC offers a network of DVMs and specialties to support your professional development.

Pay Range

$24-$30 USD
