We are seeking an experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our team.

VIEW JOBS 2/26/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-26T00:00 Job Summary Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (Temporary Expert Professional) Public Health Services Under general direction, incumbents perform euthanasia, necropsy to remove neurological tissue for rabies examination and proper preservation of samples and preparation and transport (if necessary) of samples to a testing facility for the purpose of evaluating exposure risk of rabies. Knowledge of: * Principles and practice of current veterinary medicine * Animal diseases and their prevention, control and eradication * Current veterinary practices in compliance with the veterinary practice and techniques relating to the treatment of injured animals * County, state and federal animal health laws and regulations * Animal regulation procedures and problems * County customer service objectives and strategies What you need in order to qualify: * A valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the State of California, which will be maintained throughout employment in this class, is required at the time of appointment. * A valid California Class C driver's license, which must be maintained throughout employment in this class, is required at time of appointment, or the ability to arrange necessary and timely transportation for field travel.
