Our current state-of-the-art ER and specialty center will be joined by a brand-new Urgent Care facility! We are seeking experienced veterinary technicians in the following departments:

  • Urgent Care (new building)

  • ER

  • Surgery

  • Internal Medicine

  • Cardiology

About Us:

The Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital has been providing the highest level of specialized small animal health care to our community since 2004. We have grown from a well-established, AAHA-certified, primary care clinic originally started on this location in 1967. NIVES is a certified Level II Critical Care Facility, which means we have the expertise, technology, and trained staff needed to treat even the most life-threatening cases, 24 hours a day.

About You:

  • You are a credentialed or experienced veterinary technician with strong communication skills, dedicated to outstanding client service and excellent patient care.

  • Compassionate and kind, you are aware of the challenges that may present themselves but are willing to work hard & focus on creating a healthy environment with your team.

  • You are a self-motivated technician wanting to make an exceptional difference in the lives of patients and their families enduring critical care and specialty cases.

  • You're looking for an opportunity to utilize and flex your full skill set while also being presented with learning new & advanced techniques.

  • You have a strong foundational understanding and can perform the basic responsibilities of a veterinary technician including (but not limited to):

  • Venipuncture

  • Placing IV Catheters

  • Drug Calculations

  • Administration of Medications (IV or other methods)

  • Taking Vitals

  • Gathering Medical History

Anticipated Schedule:

Schedules will vary depending on the department, we have first, second, and third shifts available. We offer flexible scheduling (open to full and part-time) to enable us to find the best fit for YOU and our departments.
