Licensed Veterinary Technician- Neurology

NVS is a veterinary specialty hospital and 24/7 emergency hospital. Our primary focus is to honor the human-animal bond in all we do, focusing on patient care, client experience, and the health of our team. We are located in a recently expanded 24,000 square foot hospital with digital radiography, computed tomography (CT), on-site magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, endoscopy, access to an on-site commercial laboratory, and more.

Requirements:

  • Must have LVMT CVT, LVT, or RVT licensure and at least 1+ years of veterinary hospital experience

  • Have a reasonably in-depth understanding of veterinary medicine and basic disease processes

  • Have broad technical abilities (Phlebotomy, catheterization, patient restraint, radiographs, in-house lab, pharmacology, medication/fluid/oxygen administration, etc.)

Responsibilities:

  • Appointment intake and taking an accurate and detailed patient history

  • Document histories, treatments, and diagnostics into EzyVet and SmartFlow

  • Handling department voicemail, client callbacks, and documentation

  • Ability to assist in all Neurological examinations, perform diagnostics (blood work, radiographs,

  • CT and MRI scans, electrodiagnostics, etc),

  • Assist in Surgery:

  • Surgery prep

  • Anesthesia monitoring (including EKG,SPO2,Doppler)

  • Anesthesia recovery

  • Maintain care of hospitalized patients

Using top of the line cardiovascular equipment, you'll be responsible for helping to monitor different variations of the patients heart. What You Will Need: Licensure / Certification / Registration: * BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. * One or more of the following required: * Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. * Cardiographic Tech specializing in Invasive Vascular Cardiology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Non-cert assocs hired before 4/30/18 cert not required. * Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Non-cert assocs hired before 4/30/18 cert not required. * Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Non-cert assocs hired before 4/30/18 cert not required.
