Veterinary Technician Assistant

Job DescriptionESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: ASSIST TECHNICIANS AND DOCTORS WITH BELOW DUTIES, AS WELL AS DEVELOPING YOUR OWN SKILLS.

• Venipuncture

• Catheter placement

• Radiology

• Anesthesia monitoring

• Physical examinations and patient assessment

• Surgical preparation and assisting, maintaining sterilization of surgical equipment

• Dentistry

• Laboratory work

• Pharmacy

• Patient recovery

• Compassionate care for hospitalized patients

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Documented previous experience is a plus

• Must be self-starter

• Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays

• Customer service skills

• Working knowledge of computers

• Excellent communications skills

• Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant

• Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
