Job Description

Northfield Veterinary Center is in search of a board-certified veterinary surgeon or residency-trained veterinarian to contribute to the growth and advancement of the surgery department. This role emphasizes orthopedics with a blend of soft tissue surgery.

In May 2024, our new hospital is set to launch, featuring a range of services such as Emergency, Critical Care, Surgery, Cardiology, and an outpatient CT service. We are currently in the process of actively seeking a surgeon to join our dedicated team.

In this brand-new location, we offer state-of-the-art facilities, including a Fuji 32-slice CT, two fully equipped surgical suites, and a dedicated pre-op induction area. Our advanced equipment includes Forcetriad ligasure, Bovie cautery, and Synthes battery-operated drills, ensuring cutting-edge capabilities for surgical procedures.

Additionally, we are committed to meeting the preferences of our new surgeon by being open to purchasing necessary equipment tailored to their specifications. Our current surgical team includes a dedicated surgeon ready to provide mentorship to a newcomer if necessary. Through our efforts, we have cultivated a strong and enthusiastic surgical team that is eager to embrace and support the addition of another surgeon to our ranks.

We stand as the sole specialty hospital within an 80-minute radius. A generous sign-on, relocation, and/or retention bonus awaits the ideal candidate. Our hospital adheres to the pro-salary model, with no negative accrual during the initial 12 months of employment.

Situated on the Jersey shore, our hospital is just a 5-minute drive from the beaches. With convenient access, we are approximately 40 minutes from Philadelphia and 90 minutes from New York City. Nestled in an exceptionally family-friendly town with outstanding school systems, our location offers a more affordable housing market compared to North New Jersey.
