Veterinary Receptionist

La Jolla Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Client Care Representative to join our team! Our hospital is located in the heart of La Jolla Village which is an area in San Diego that will make you feel like you've been transported to a tropical island - you could even walk to the beach on your lunch break! Our mission is to provide excellent medical care for dogs and cats in an atmosphere where patients and clients are cared for genuinely and compassionately. In addition to being a general practice, we do accept walk-ins and urgent care cases so there is great opportunity to grow your skills!

Position Overview: As a Client Care Representative, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operations with La Jolla Veterinary Hospital. By adding value to an efficient organization dedicated to quality care and extraordinary service, you will perform a variety of clerical and customer service tasks in providing support to the hospital. The CCR is the first and last contact with the hospital and is key to creating positive impressions. We are looking for a friendly, team-oriented person, with excellent customer service skills!

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet clients in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner

• Answer multi-line phone system and direct calls accordingly

• Maximize clinic productivity through proper scheduling and confirmation of appointments

• Prepare, record, and maintain any required documents or medical records

• Keep hospital facility disinfected, organized and neat

• Obtain deposits and payments from clients

• Utilize computer systems like email applications, chat support, and veterinary programs

• Educate clients on veterinary services and care

Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 2 years of Veterinary experience

• High School Diploma/GED

• Knowledge of veterinary procedures, terminology, medications, vaccinations, and other products

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to empathize and connect with clients

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency in using computer systems and software's

• Able to perform moderately physically demanding work that requires lifting (up to 50 pounds)

• Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, zoonotic diseases, and unpleasant odors

Available Schedule: Full-time position

• Friday 7:30am

• 6pm
