VCA City Cats Animal Hospital is seeking an ophthalmology liaison to join one of the premier Cat Only hospitals in the Boston area full time.

We are located in historic Arlington, Massachusetts and our growing hospital includes 3 full time General Practice Veterinarians in addition to a board certified Veterinary Ophthalmologist offering medical and surgical services.

VCA City Cats Hospital is a newly renovated facility equipped with feline friendly reception and exam rooms, and state of the art dental and surgical suites. Our newly redesigned boarding area includes comfortable condo-style accommodations with views of downtown Arlington to satisfy even this most discriminating of our feline friends. What is a liaison?

A Liaison is the contact person who helps bridge the communication connection between the doctor and the client. Our ophthalmology liaison will work with our team to ensure that patients are seen in a timely manner as well as maintaining a direct line of communication between the pet parent and the doctor. The liaison will assure a smooth transition from phone call, through patient arrival, triage, treatment and the discharge processes.

Duties Include:

  • Keeping the pet parent informed during each step of the patients visit

  • Maintain communication with the front desk, veterinary technicians, doctors and primary care veterinarians

  • Fill prescriptions, and assist with owner visits

  • Triage incoming phone calls as needed and provide a point of contact for pet owners

  • Client education, and progress reports

  • Relay information from the doctor team, to the pet parents

Potential Schedule: This position is Part Time 16-25 hours per week, no weekends

Compensation: $18-24/ hr based on skill set, and experience
