Alaska Veterinary Specialists and Pet Emergency Treatment are searching for a full-time Internal Medicine Specialist interested in providing the highest quality medicine at our well-equipped, progressive practice.

The hospital offers a spacious building with 4 exam rooms, one large comfort room, large treatment area with a separate cat and bird room, a large surgery suite, and an isolation ward. We also have in-house laboratory capabilities including Idexx Vet Suite (Catalyst Chemistry Analyzer, Lasercyte CBC, Urinalysis, and ELISA Snap Reader), and basic cytology in addition to the close association we have with a local full-service laboratory.

We have in-house ECG, Echocardiogram, Ultrasound, and Digital radiography. Endoscopy, bronchoscopy, and rhinoscopy. We have excellent surgical monitoring capabilities with SurgiVet to monitor non-invasive blood pressure, 3 Lead ECG, Heart rate, Digital SpO2, End Tidal CO2, Respiration, Temperature, and Built-In Printer. The hospital has a complete pharmacy, OTC products, and prescription diets.

The team has a close working relationship with Veterinary Imaging Specialists of Alaska who are on-site and provide, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI. Our team is ready to assist you with Licensed Veterinary Technicians working in treatment and surgery with trained technician assistants and licensed veterinary technicians.
