VCA Clayton Animal Hospital is hiring an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

About Us

We are a 1 doctor primary care practice in the heart of Clayton. We believe in excellent customer service, gold standard medicine, and teamwork. Our patients are mainly dogs and cats.

We are open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8am- 5pm, Tuesdays from 8am- 7pm, and Fridays from 8am- 1pm, closed Saturdays and Sundays.

About the Role

As Veterinary Assistant, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Duties will include:

• Compassionate patient care
• Client education and care
• Venipuncture and catheter placement
• Radiology and diagnostics
• Lab sample collection and processing
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Dentistry
• Medication preparation and administration
• Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
• Medical recordkeeping
