Veterinary Assistant

VCA Blue Cross Animal Hospital is in need of a full time Veterinary Assistant, experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate. Our busy 5 doctor practice is looking for a candidate that is client-oriented, possesses superior communication skills, and will be in support of our team approach within the workplace. Candidate must be able to work a flexible scheduled including Saturdays and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Taking patient history

• Clean exam rooms and treatment area

• Restrain animals during examinations or vaccinations

• Keep accurate records and logs

• Stocking exam rooms and treatment area.

• Handle administrative duties such as scheduling appointments

• Ensuring a timely appointment flow

Skills

• Experience as a Veterinary Assistant or similar position working with animals

• Experience in an administrative role is a plus

• Excellent communication skills

• Patient and caring personality

• Ability to follow instructions properly

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
