Veterinary Assistant

VCA Animal Care Hospital in Richfield, MN is growing and looking to for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

We are located in Richfield MN. Richfield is a small suburb of Southeast Minneapolis and is conveniently close to all major highways. The Airport, Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge Education/Visitor Center (14,000-acres!) and The Mall of America are located just 10 minutes away. There are many lakes (with some favorite fishing spots) and recreational areas with access to numerous local shops, restaurants, and breweries within a 10 mile radius. The area has very low crime, many parks and a great library and community center. Richfield is very family friendly, has great schools and affordable housing. Local Farmers Market, Dog Parks, Food Co-Ops, Woodlake Nature Center and Veteran's Park are within 3 miles of the hospital! The state of 10,000 lakes provides an abundance of activities and sporting events year round.

Job Snapshot:

Whether you are a seasoned Veterinary Assistant or a Technician in training, we want you to use the knowledge that you've invested your time and talent in. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:

• Providing support to the entire veterinary hospital staff

• Ensure there is a clean, comfortable environment for patients and clients

• Ensuring that treatment areas and exam rooms remain fully stocked

• Restrain animals during examinations or vaccinations

• Keep accurate records and logs

• Sterilize equipment

• Observing patients for obvious signs of health concerns and reporting any findings to senior staff

Hospital Operating Hours:

Monday through Friday 8am

• 5 pm

Closed Saturdays and Sundays

Requirements: 1+ years of veterinary experience

Schedule: Full-time opportunities available with flexible scheduling. This position offers a unique opportunity to share hours with VCA Cedar Animal Hospital, providing excellent learning experiences and fostering collaboration with fellow associates.
