Job Description
We are currently looking to hire an eager and motivated individual to work as an Exam Room/Pharmacy Assistant full-time. Minimum 1 year experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. We are a fast-paced and progressive 7-doctor practice, with the ability to offer training and experience in various areas of our practice.
Full-time positions include: full health and ancillary benefits, a 401k retirement plan with a match percentage, paid vacation and sick time, and a personal pet discount. Typical work schedule consists of 4 days/week and weekend rotations will be required.
Primary job responsibilities include: excellent customer service/communication, basic restraint/handling of both cats and dogs, patient check-in and check-out, discussing medical history/preventative care recommendations/discharge instructions, preparing vaccinations and equipment for outpatient examinations, assisting veterinarians and technicians with procedures, setup and completion of lab testing, filling prescriptions as ordered, and maintaining efficiency and organization of veterinarian's daily appointment schedule.
