Job Description

The veterinary assistant is the entire team's primary support. Every department relies on their significant role in aiding with a variety of services to provide excellent client and patient care.

Veterinary Assistant Position Openings include: Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, and Radiology.

Job Description Overview:

. Assist with patient care and treatment

. Monitor hospitalized pets / Monitor/aid in caring for animals after surgery

. Maintain inventory and stocking

. Restrain animals during blood draws and nail trims

  • Aiding with routine diagnostic tests (i.e. Taking radiographs, running bloodwork, reading fecal)

  • Maintain & sterilize surgical instruments/equipment

  • Clean/Disinfect cages, kennels, exam and treatment areas of hospital

  • Administering medications under Veterinarian/Vet Tech supervision

  • Feeding/bathing animals

  • Answering phones

  • Helping clients with their pets

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18yrs old or older

  • Must be a self-starter, able to multitask and a team player.

  • Genuinely enjoys working with animals and is able to deal with them even when they are stressed, ill or in pain.

  • Prefer 1+ years of experience, but not required.

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Work requires lifting, carrying and restraining animals (will be assisted by other staff members in lifting animals over 40 lbs.). Should be able to lift 40lbs on own.

. Walks or stands for extended periods or time; frequently works in a bent or squatting position.

. Is experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with all levels of hospital team members.

VIEW JOBS 1/24/2023 12:00:00 AM 2023-04-24T00:00 <p>Job Description</p><p>Neurology Technician Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Exemplify a positive, supportive culture within the department as well as within the hospital</p></li><li><p>Assist with estimate and treatment plan formulation for neurological patients</p></li><li><p>Admitting and discharging patients, client communication and education, and scheduling appointments/surgeries/advanced imaging</p></li><li><p>Aseptic surgical area preparation and surgical supply sterilization preparation</p></li><li><p>Practice proper and safe patient restraint of the neurological patient</p></li><li><p>Demonstrate the ability to properly/safely place and maintain urinary catheters.</p></li><li><p>Perform general venipuncture, peripheral catheter placement and maintenance</p></li></ul><p>Neurology Anesthesia-related Skill set &amp; Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Perform pre-anesthesia examinations to determine safety and risk for Neurology cases.</p></li><li><p>Implement prescribed anesthetic plans from pre anesthesia until recovery, monitoring throughout.</p></li><li><p>Perform patient pain assessments and develop proposed analgesic plans for neurology cases using multimodal pain management techniques.</p></li><li><p>Understand and use CASE anesthesia monitoring forms/protocols</p></li><li><p>Set up anesthesia machine and troubleshoot any problems</p></li><li><p>Understand hemodynamics of anesthesia-related hypotension and possess ability to troubleshoot anesthetic complications</p></li><li><p>Accurately evaluate a patient's ventilation and oxygenation status utilizing pulse oximetry and capnography</p></li></ul><p>Pay Range: $23/hr-$30/hr</p><p>We value diversity and inclusion; every person has a unique voice and perspective to bring to the CASE team.
