Are you ready for the next step of your career? We are seeking a talented Veterinary Assistant (VA) to join our overnight team!

Expand your critical care skills, work with a wide variety of presenting emergency and hospitalized patients. The ideal Veterinary Assistant will have excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities.

Located in San Leandro, CA, VCA Bay Area Veterinary Specialist and Emergency Hospital is a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital that has been caring for the pets of our community for over 25 years. We value a culture of teamwork with a positive and fun work environment.

Our hospital is fully equipped with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment that includes CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, and fluoroscopy. With access to a wide variety of equipment and resources, you will be able to provide the highest quality care to the emergency patients in the hospital.

Qualifications:

• 2 + years as a Veterinary Assistant

• Ability to triage, assess, and examine critical patients

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.

The pay range for this position is $29 to $35/ hour. Shift differential rate for overnight and weekend is $1.50 - $6.00/ hour will be applied as determined for each shift.
