Our affordable vaccination clinics are scheduled mostly on Saturdays and Sundays, with weekday evenings in certain areas. There are no minimum or a maximum number of shifts required to work and as a relief vet, YOU indicate your rate of pay!

We are looking for caring doctors who are interested in earning a supplemental income while making a positive impact on the communities we serve. Licensed veterinarians from all industries and levels of experience are welcome: practice owners, associates, new graduates or experienced, small animal, mixed animal, large animal, equine, emergency / critical care, semi-retired, at-home parent, sales, pharmaceutical, medical director, military, government, etc.

As a relief veterinarian with VETCO clinics, you would be providing preventative care services for healthy dogs and cats. Our friendly, well-trained teams are highly skilled in pet restraint, assisting, client communication, and customer service. They take care of all aspects of the general operation of the clinics, so the veterinarians can focus on the clients, the pets, and just having fun!

VIEW JOBS 3/19/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-17T00:00 Position Summary: Veterinarians will participate in Salix administration and rotate into pre-race and racing duties as desired. When working on the Salix team, veterinarians will attend a morning meeting with the Salix Coordinator and Veterinary colleagues to discuss the team plan for daily medication administration. Major Responsibility Areas: * When working on the pre-race team, the veterinarian must be capable of performing pre-race examinations, * Observing vet list works, * Post parade jogs, * Attending to racing emergencies, * Blood sampling and general upkeep of medical records. * This position demands some flexibility with duties as they may be different throughout the week. Experience with lameness evaluation required, race track practice preferred. Minimum Qualifications: * Candidates are required to hold a Doctor of Veterinary medicine or equivalent, * Be licensed in the State of Florida by the Florida Board of Veterinary Medicine * And be eligible to obtain a license from the Florida Department of Pari-Mutuel Wagering. * Veterinarians employed by Gulfstream Park must be honest, ethical and able to work independently as a member of a busy team. * Successful candidates will be efficient, have effective communication skills and capable of working with private veterinarians and trainers.
