Northeast Veterinary Hospital (NEVH) in Cornelia, GA is currently seeking a full or part-time associate veterinarian. We are an AAHA accredited hospital that is focused on providing outstanding patient care and offering the latest in treatments and diagnostics.

We are equipped with digital dental and whole body radiography, ultrasound, photobiomodulation/laser therapy, in-house bloodwork, iSTAT blood gas machine, VetPro 1000 dental unit, electroacupuncture, capnography, Doppler blood pressure, tonopen and PT/rehab equipment. We believe strongly in mentorship, cultivating a positive work environment, daily rounds and CE that is conducive towards long-term emotional, academic and financial fulfillment.

Although our hospitals doctors and support staff are currently available for emergencies, this is negotiable.


  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Georgia
  • Professional demeanor and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude
  • The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members

  • Proficiency in surgery a plus

The Assistant helps during patient examinations by restraining animals when necessary, stocking examination and surgery rooms with supplies, sterilizing tools and ensuring that equipment is in working order. Assistants also communicate with clients (pet owners) and update patient files.
