Job Description Job Description ATX Animal Clinic is a privately owned small animal clinic located in the Northwest Hills neighborhood of Austin, TX just 10 minutes north of downtown Austin. We are currently seeking an associate veterinarian to join our two-doctor practice to help us grow We value integrity, motivation, interpersonal skills, and put our patient’s well-being and care above all else.

We provide a family-centered, positive work environment. Mentorship and learning are key components of our practice for all our employees, and experienced or new graduates are welcomed to apply. Our focus is providing high quality small animal medicine and top of the line care for our client’s pets, and we are seeking the right individual to join our team Mental health is important and we offer our doctors flexible schedules; the new associate would be expected to work 4 days during the regular week from 8 am – 6 pm, and every other Saturday from 8 am – noon.

Surgery times are from anywhere from 11:30 am - noon to 1:30 – 2:30 pm during our closed hours, with larger windows blocked in the schedule ahead of time for procedures requiring more time. Quality care and compassion are important; we schedule a minimum of 30 minutes per appointment to ensure each patient is thoroughly evaluated. We have COVID precautions and cleaning measures in place.

Job Requirements · Treat sick or injured animals by performing diagnostics, prescribing medication, dressing wounds and performing surgeries · Educate the public about communicable diseases that are transferable from animal to animal or animals to humans · Promote the health and wellness of animals by advising animal owners about sanitation measures, feeding and general care · Documenting and updating patients’ records with diagnoses and treatment plans · Ensure compliance with veterinary procedures, ethics, policies and relevant statutes · Operate diagnostic equipment like radiography machines and interpret the resulting images · Euthanize animals in situations they see fit such as in the case of a terminal illness · Current Texas veterinary license in good standing · A positive attitude and willingness to work with an awesome team Job Benefits · Salary between $100,000- $120,000; compensation varies with experience in soft tissue surgery, and is negotiable with time. · All licenses (Texas, DEA, etc.) and professional memberships covered/reimbursed by ATX Animal Clinic · AVMA PLIT coverage reimbursed · 2 weeks paid vacation per year · CE compensated, including one conference per year as well as all online CE · No after-hours emergencies or on-call hours; there are 3 emergency hospitals within a 10-minute drive available for referral · Facility has windows and glass doors, allowing natural light to be seen all day Contact Dr. Rob Pieratt call us at 512-338-4300.
