I want to hire happy, team oriented part-time or full-time Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) and experienced Veterinary Assistants (VA) for our After-Hours Urgent Care Center. I hire staff for their brains and skills; are you that person that wants to work in a practice that values their knowledge?

Do you want to work in an environment where people are friends and help each other? I believe in teams of happy people; are you that person? If you are someone looking to expand your knowledge, skills, and work in a friendly, team-oriented environment, please apply, you won't regret it.

If you are looking for a structured, micromanaged environment, then we probably aren't for you. I want people who can think, multi-task, and work independently using medical records and doctor's orders. We are a rapidly growing practice and need RVTs and VA with the desire to improve and share their skills and knowledge.

New or experienced RVTs and/or experienced VAs are welcomed. These positions are true nursing position and NOT a kennel position. I am happy to mentor and/or teach skills that are needed.

I believe in using my staff for their skills and brains and are willing to work in a team environment. I appreciate my staff and encourage them to grow and learn new skills and provide the means for them to do that through Conferences, AAHA, VetGirl and eDove. I want people that want to use the skills they worked so hard to learn to provide top notch medicine, not someone to "just hold animals and clean kennels" while I do all the technician work.

We need quality people that can insert themselves into our team as if they have always been there, helping the pets, doctors, team members and promoting a teamwork environment. Individuals should have strong teamwork and communication skills. Have the ability to manage patients with a variety of problems, perform radiographs, run labs, draw blood, place IV catheters, manage in-patient care (if needed), manage out-patient care, run exam rooms, be able to work as a team in busy work environment; follow written and verbal directions, able to multi-task and use a computer, fill medications and be able to discuss them with clients, monitor patients under anesthesia, recover animals post-op, and be able to perform tasks based on doctor's notes.

The ability to educate clients is a big plus as I expect staff to educate as well as the veterinarian. Should have flexibility for schedules. The After Hour Urgent Care Center is open Friday night through Tuesday night from 4pm to 10pm with an occasional overage.

I am looking for someone to work all or some of these days. Friday and Sunday are the critical days to fill. We offer great benefits and competitive salaries.

The salary is based on experience and position. Additional information will be provided at the interview. Contact Yvonne Conner, the Urgent Care Center practice manager.

She is available through our general practice (Adamson Veterinary Services) from 9 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday. You can also contact her through iHire. HELLO NEW GRADS How would you like to find your Forever Home with a great veterinary practice?

I am looking for the next generation of veterinarians for our day-time general practice, flexible schedule or fixed schedule whichever works for all. Required to work one weekend every 3 - 4 weeks, NO after hours, NO emergencies, NO on call duties and when you are off duty, you are truly off. I am always looking to incorporate new and fresh knowledge and people into my practice.

New grads are the life blood of practices looking to expand and I've got a practice that needs them. I need 2 veterinarians to continue to build my practice and expand the services we offer to the community. If you are looking for a practice where "progressive medicine" "work-life balance" and "mental health support" means something, then come see us.

If you want the tools to diagnose and treat your patients quickly, we have an in-house lab to serve you. If you want to enjoy your life after work and not worry about coming in after hours, then consider us.

If you enjoy small town or country life but want to be able to drive to the city, Salem is your place to live.

We have large cities within an hour or less travel. But most of all, if you want a place that is fun to work, offers mentoring and support, then give us a call Fun Facts: Sense of humor is required.

Our building houses 2 separate practices, one is the daytime general practice, and the other is an after-hour urgent care practice. We are one of the busiest veterinary hospitals in our area and we work with other veterinarians in a 50-mile radius to provide care for their patients when they can't fit them in. Staff enjoy working together, some eat lunch together, some get together after work, some even go so far as exercising together.

We are a day-time practice. That means NO boarding, NO after-hour emergencies, NO on-call duties and NO overnighters. We are open 7 days a week.

Major emergencies are referred out to one of the local emergency centers in Akron, Pennsylvania, or Canton. Patients needing 24-hour care are usually stabilized and transferred to a 24-hour service. Work-Life Balance and Mental Health are considered important for all staff members including doctors.

Our community: We may be a small town, but we are close to lots of stuff. Pittsburgh is about 1 hour away, the Steelers' stadium is only 1 1/2 hours away, Pittsburgh international airport is 45 minutes away.

Cleveland is about 1 hour north of us. Youngstown is 30 minutes from us. Columbus is 4 hours south of us.

All have activities for single people, married couples, and families with night life, outdoor family events, indoor family events, and so on. Then there are the lakes nearby, fishing all year round if you like ice fishing, camping, boating, wine festivals, renaissance festivals, county fairs and all the usual summer fun. There are lots of car centered activities that occur year-round with car fairs, antique car shows, car races, etc.

Fall brings pumpkin festivals, Cosplay festivals and hayrides, grade school and high school activities.

Winter can be mild to cold - hey this is the North, but we have winter activities as well, skiing, snowboarding, and winter sports, winter camping and ice fishing. Spring brings out our spring fever and lots of spring activities.

We are not a farming community, but there are farms all around us. There are good public and private schools and colleges in the area as well. What do our clients think?

You can check out our reviews online; but they come to us because of our reputation for excellence, exceptional client communication with expert and compassionate care of their pets. Most importantly, we will work them in, if possible, when their vet can't. We meet AAHA's facility requirements and standards of care with a full in-house lab with AI capability, ultrasound, dental machines, digital x-ray machines (with ability to send out to radiologist), 2 surgery suites, isolation room, large treatment area, ICU units and critical care cages.

Salary and benefits: We offer highly competitive salaries with a generous relocation/sign on bonus. Excellent benefits include paid time off, 100% reimbursement of individual's health insurance premiums, paid CE and licensing fees, and 100% paid liability and malpractice insurance. and more.

Salary and benefits are negotiable. Mentoring and additional training is available. Our website, AdamsonVeterinaryServices.com, provides more information on the staff, services and our beautiful, newly renovated hospital.

So, that's us, we are always recruiting because we are always growing, please apply, you won't regret it. Job Requirements: Must be a US citizen or have your work Visa or H1b and licensed in the state of Ohio.

Must be able to work in a team environment. Should be able to create diagnostic plans and interpret results, with mentoring if needed. Must be able to create treatment plans and discuss them with the client.

Should be able to educate clients on the needs of their pets and explain your recommendations. Should be able to discuss preventive medicine and reasons for annual preventions and vaccines. Must be able to attend conferences and classes in person or online to complete the state licensing and AAHA continuing education requirements (paid). Must be willing to tackle the easy and hard medical cases.

Must be able to provide end of life advice, care, and compassionate euthanasia procedures. Willingness to perform surgery and dental procedures are a big plus (surgery schedule is 1 day a week per doctor). Should be a happy, team oriented, self-motivated, multi-tasking, willing to learn and teach skills type of person. If you want a great place to work, where people are friends and help each other, then we are the place for you.
